"Jaye! Have you brought me shinies?" Buffy bounced over to her.

"Very shiny, actually," she says, offering the presents. "Happy birthday."

Buffy opened her presents, and beamed. "You're right, these are very shiny! Oooh, where do you think I should hang the sparkly thing?"

"On the ceiling," Jaye says helpfully.

Buffy snickered at her. "You're known for your helpfulness, aren't you?"

"They're going to sing songs about it someday," she says. "And ten years later, I'll be a special on VH1."
