Big Bang 2010: art for like_a_raven's Cabinet of Curiosities
Whyfor do we have spn_j2_bigbang? Sure - epic plots, the UST, the (my personal favorite) angst - but also it's a fun way to reconnect with the show that originally captivated our obsession. So if a rollicking return to Season 2 sounds appealing, then do-not-pass-go but rather go straightaway to like_a_raven's BigBang: Cabinet of Curiosities. Introspective Sammy! Cocky Dean! Brotherly banter! The metallicar! Hunting things! Saving people! Say it with me:THE FAMILY BUSINESS!!Thanks as always to wendy and thehighwaywoman for the craziness they go through each year. But mostly thanks to like_a_raven for peaking my interest on artist claims day, and then proceeding to nonstop deliver. I may not have cried, but merciful heavens, did I ever laugh! ♥
I was tempted to show this one at four times size, just to scare the bejesus out of y'all. ♬ However I'm quite not that cruel... unlike like_a_raven whose offhand mention of this critter on claims-day sparked my insanity. I'll should also mention that the author and I were in complete accord as to dress style. (Who knew Lady Di could inspire badger-wear?)

You too can have this chalkboard (or maybe you prefer this one?) FWIW, this is my "original" (slightly more legible, but with parsing errors) chalkboard. You'll have to read the story to see what became of it. (You have read the story by now, right?)
Please don't look too carefully at this last one; it was a rush to get it done in time. Plus, it started out in my mind as more of a concept piece: what ghastly horrors the poor Winchester Boys must endure! (Originally like_a_raven warned for smooches - and the idea of cooties being a necessary warning, like character death or non-con - made me giggle. Fandom, we are a breed apart. ;) BTW the badger used herein was my inspiration for the far above as well (mostly because of the vampire-like teeth... which I ended up erasing from both iterations, sigh.)
