Rachel is happy in Hawaii - she’s got a husband that she loves, a daughter she adores, a job that’s going well, and she’s mending fences with Danny. Everything seems to be going perfectly until an envelope appears on her desk. Inside are some photographs of Grace, taken without her knowledge, and a note that says instructions will follow.

Thanks so much! I finally figured out how to animate this summer because I HAD to try out this idea. (Not that it was hard to learn, just unexplored territory ;)

You are so good for my ego. Especially appreciating the screencaps, as I muddled over those for a long time.

But yes - that's exactly where I was going with the title graphic, because it's absolutely front and foremost in the story. Just don't read late at night if you're the only adult in the house....

You have no idea how excited I was to see this pop up on my flist! That envelope alone should shut up all the whining about Rachel from the end of the season. Awesome! Bookmarking to read, as soon as I get my next deadline out of the way!

Good to know! Yes, I remember your everybody hated the whole MustLeaveNow plot post - and while this isn't my Matt-blackmail theory (which I still &heart;, as so much of season one was Chin-taking blame/SteveKono insanity and other circumstances-where-cops-are-ChaoticNotLawfulGood) it's really a nice behind-the-scenes for Rachel.

In fact, I still think I couldn't do the story the justice it deserves since I couldn't focus for long on Grace Being Threatened without wanting to shut my own kids in their room, lock all the doors/windows, and peer nervously out the windows searching for EvilDoers.

Thank you! The nice thing about posting early is that I can now go read the other stories! Including the one with your excellent artwork which I've finally sat down with and intend to read!

It's all a seriously nice way to build up to the season opener!

Thank you for saying so - especially for saying so on a day when I was feeling a little down! It was really quite a pick me up to read your comment!
