Going for two!
Fandom: Gundam Wing
Pairing: Treize Kushrenada and Lucrezia Noin (main/initial pairing, followed by everyone else)
Theme set: Delta
Rating: R for polyamory and general naughtiness
Notes: It begins as a 13x9, and goes into polyamory. Sorry.
01. Air: Treize never got tired of staying awake well after Lucrezia had fallen asleep; if the truth had to be told, he loved the air of her breath passing over his scarred skin as she dreamed beside him.
02. Apples: "Duo brought me apples from when he and Zechs went apple picking, and I thought that you might like one," Lucrezia explained when he opened the door to find her awkwardly balancing a basket of gleaming red fruit, her key, and a sack containing their dinner.
03. Beginning: How to begin a conversation after what they'd gone through was lost between the two, so Lucrezia just smiled at her former commanding officer and asked politely, "How have you been?"
04. Bugs: Treize hated it when his therapist sent him to have his grafts checked; the sensation made him think of thousands of bugs creeping under his skin.
05. Coffee: Treize had forgotten the etiquette involved in waking up beside someone, and wasn't entirely sure how he was supposed to act after waking up next to Trowa Barton, so he just went into the kitchen, brought two cups of coffee back to the bedroom, and hoped for the best.
06. Dark: Treize wasn't very good at hiding the dark, depressing thoughts from her; Lucrezia was very good at noticing his sad moods, especially when he was tired from physical therapy; hiding them from Quatre was almost impossible.
07. Despair: When Une had told him that she was much too busy to visit until after Christmas, Treize sank into despair until she mentioned that she did know someone who would like to see him, if he felt up to having another person in on the secret of his survival.
08. Doors: The brass numbers of Treize's door were polished, as well cared for as anything else in the facility, but they loomed in front of Lucrezia's face like mocking guardians, tempting her to do sometimg stupid, like knock on the oak door.
09. Drink: "I still drink coffee, but I'd rather have tea with dinner, if it's all the same," Lucrezia said, reaching automatically into the cupboard for plates as if she'd been in his kitchen a thousand times before.
10. Duty: "It's morning already, so I think we stayed up talking all night," she admitted sheepishly, looking around for her jacket and badges she would need to use in order to report for duty in the next hour.
11. Earth: His therapists said that working in the garden was good for his arms, and he grudgingly admitted that the sensation of the warm earth under his hands, and the gentle sun overhead did make him feel a thousand times better.
12. End: They stamped his paperwork, making him feel as if he'd been released from prison, and declared that his need for daily observation and care was at an end, and that he would be allowed to continue his life away from the confines of the hospital.
13. Fall: The leaves had collected in the corners of the steps leading up to Lucrezia's house, the chilly fall breeeze making his arm ache as he hefted his small duffle full of clothes.
14. Fire: "I made a fire in the fireplace, so get comfortable," she offered, and Treize settled near the blaze, grateful for her friendship and her hospitality, quietly jealous of the photographs of her with the other pilots on the mantlepiece.
15. Flexible: He demonstrated the exercise, meant to make his repaired arm and leg more flexible and pliant, expecting her to laugh at his inability to do the simple act more than three times without tiring.
16. Flying: "It reminds me of flying," she admitted, and Treize couldn't bear the thought of telling her that thinking of flying now made him only remember how much it had hurt to fall.
17. Food: Buying food was a priority; Lucrezia had only bought enough for herself the day before, so she pulled him out of the house and off toward the small market on the corner to buy more groceries.
18. Foot: He touched her foot, charmed by her giggles at his tenative touch, and was amazed at the difference between her slender, flesh extremities and his own prosthetic ones.
19. Grave: Zechs had been the one to select the stone, and Lucrezia the inscription, both in need of some way to mark the grave of their oldest friend; Treize thought that standing at his own memorial should upset him, but he felt like laughing at the irony of it.
20. Green: Lucrezia was up on a ladder, painting the guest bedroom, and simply explained that the soft apple-green shade would go nicely with his hair.
21. Head: Quatre found him sitting on the steps, shaking his head and laughing at the antics of Lucrezia and Heero as they danced through the living room wearing only pajamas and holding margaritas.
22. Hollow: Treize offered to move out, tilting his head sadly, and Lucrezia felt a horrible, hollow feeling in her stomach at the mere idea; Duo looked physicially ill, and Zechs had simply said 'no'.
23. Honor: "I'd be honored," he murmured when she asked if he'd like to go to the opera with her; she'd gotten tickets for both of them, and Treize was already pretending it was an official date rather than roommates going out for the evening.
24. Hope: Lucrezia cried during the second act, so he took her hand, hoping that she wouldn't mind such a small gesture, and almost ended up crying himself when she twined her fingers into his.
25. Light: There was a faint light from the lamp in her bedroom, and he could hear her voice moaning softly with pleasure, leading him to wonder who she was thinking of when she touched herself like that.
26. Lost: He watched as Quatre kissed Lucrezia enthusiatically, and was lost for words when he found himself the recipient of an identical kiss from the handsome young Winner heir.
27. Metal: Lucrezia's hand slid down his thigh, despite his protests that she would not like the ugly metal thing, but she laughed away the warning and kissed the cool metal locking ring holding his leg into place.
28. New: He knew that she had been putting off having guests over to allow her new roommate time to get settled, but she couldn't fend them off forever.
29. Old: He preferred her Preventers uniform to the fussy old uniform she had worn during the war; this one made her seem dangerous and he liked that; he also agreed that it looked almost as good on Wufei and Zechs.
30. Peace: "Even though we're at peace," Duo Maxwell explained as he popped the cap off of the bottle of beer he retrieved from Lucrezia's refrigerator with the ease of someone used to just such an action, "there are always people trying to mess it up for everyone else."
31. Poison: Treize wondered if his presence in her house had poisoned the way she felt about him, but she corrected his assumption with a gentle kiss.
32. Pretty: He marvelled at how pretty his daughter was, even as Lucrezia introduced them, and he watched the two women in his life chatting amibly about him as if he weren't even there.
33. Rain: His joints ached when it rained, he confided in Lucrezia, and was surprised when she gave him a conspiratorial look and admitted that hers did, too.
34. Regret: He had no real regrets about the war; he'd done what he believed was right, and was comforted to know that, even if Zechs had disagreed with his choices, he still respected Treize as the man who had made them.
35. Roses: On his birthday, he came downstairs to find the house filled with roses of every imaginable kind, and sitting among them was Lucrezia, who seemed to him far more lovely than any flower he'd ever seen.
36. Secret: She took off her shirt and showed him the jagged scar gotten in an accident on Mars just after the war and which she had tried to keep a secret from Zechs so that the blonde would not blame himself for her misfortune, but she admitted that he had discovered anyway; Treize wondered what the circumstance of Zechs' discovery had been.
37. Snakes: Trieze had told Lucrezia that his only fears were the moments of agonizing anticipation before something began to hurt - he didn't fear the hurting, just the wait for it to begin, and Lucrezia had surprised him by admitting that her only fears were snakes and being alone.
38. Snow: Treize was jealous of the others, who had all piled outside into the small garden behind Lucrezia's house to play in the newly-fallen snow, until Quatre threw a snowball that hit him in the face and slid down under his shirt to make him shiver.
39. Solid: Lucrezia was quiet and resolute beside him as he waited for the doctor to speak, and Treize decided that he was grateful for Heero's solid presence behind them and the weight of Trowa's gaze, as if the silent man could ward off bad news with the mere blink of one emerald eye.
40. Spring: When Treize woke up, he found the tail end of Quatre Winner hanging through his bedroom window, and Duo - laughing as he held Quatre steady - had to explain that they were only hanging up Lucrezia's window flower boxes in honor of the upcoming springtime.
41. Stable: The doctors (and not a few of the lawyers) wondered if Lucrezia's home, full of the comings and goings of Duo, Trowa, and the other pilots, was a stable environment for someone like Treize, and they faltered one by one under Quatre's well-planned logic and Wufei's firm but threatening smile.
42. Strange: It felt strange, lying on the couch with his head on Lucrezia's lap and his legs across Heero's knees, but when Duo leaned back and let that long, ridiculous braid drop down beside Treize's chest as he got comfortable, he decided that he liked the way things were between them.
43. Summer: It was Wufei's idea to take a summer vacation, but Treize surprised everyone by suggesting that they all go together to the beach, and Trowa decided that the coast of Corsica was the best place to go.
44. Taboo: Some things weren't acceptable in polite society, or any other kind of society for that matter, but watching Duo kiss Lucrezia as Wufei undid the ties of her bathing suit seemed remarkably right, and he forgot every social taboo he had ever learned when Trowa's firm hands slid under his bathing suit, and he felt Heero's lips on his neck.
45. Ugly: "You're not ugly," Duo murmured, rolling closer to Treize as Lucrezia squirmed closer to Trowa and Zechs, "you're alive, and you're healthy, and you're here with us, which is were you belong; I could care less what you look like, Treize, as long as you're happy here with us."
46. War: Quatre still had dreams of the war from time to time, but they seemed to lessen when he was spending time at Lucrezia's house, and the dreams never came when the young blonde was nestled in between Treize and Lucrezia.
47. Water: Wufei asked how Treize could swim in the salt water, not wanting to offend him by asking outright about his leg, but Treize simply unclamped the locking ring and left it on the shore, letting Zechs help him toward the waves.
48. Welcome: "It started with Lucrezia," Heero confided, cradling Treize's head against his chest, "but we all wanted you to be with us, and we all tried to think of a way to make you feel welcome in our lives."
49. Winter: When winter came, and the circus closed for the season, Trowa arrived in the small hours of the morning and just crawled into bed with them, wrapping his long, lithe limbs around Treize and reaching out to hold hands with Duo over Lucrezia's rounded hip.
50. Wood: Wufei planted a tree the day that Heero finally transferred to the main office and moved into Lucrezia's house with them, making their exclusive group complete, and Duo carved all sixteen initials into the wood with his knife.
