A hero, Alex told Kevin, kissing him gently, doesn't always come into your life riding a white horse; his had appeared coming to the rescue of a runaway dog.
#3 - Memory
The memory of seeing Alex fully clothed, dripping wet and angry when he teleported into the ocean makes Kevin smile, because it was at that moment that Kevin admitted to himself that he was in love, but it is a sad smile as he thought at the time that it was a love he would never have.

Neither Kevin or Alex can look at a black box without shuddering or needing to reach for the other telepathically and touch each other over and over; nearly losing one another when their bond broke has scarred them for life, even though they don't admit it to each other because they both feel that they have already caused each other too much pain because of it.

Kevin usually gives into temptation in private, but when he tells Alex that one day he will teleport to his lover's work and take him over his desk, Alex grins at him and says that he's always thought that sex education was sadly neglected in Catholic schools.
