Fandom:Cowboy Bebop
Pairing: Faye Valentine x Spike Spiegel
Theme Set: Beta
Rating: PG-13/R some sexual references
Notes: Long run-on sentences ahoy!

#01 - Walking
Spike was walking away from his past, away from his old love, away from the longing, away from the pain; Julia was gone and now all he could see before him was something completely new and different- Faye.

#02 - Waltz
They waltzed with words, it was a dangerous dance; the way her eyebrow arched and mouth curved, Spike knew he was about to get himself into a mess of trouble- lucky for him, he enjoyed getting a reaction out of Faye.

#03 - Wishes
"I used to believe, a very long time ago, that wishes came true; now I look at that stupid cowboy and I see the way he looks through me and sees her and I know that I was just being naive."

#04 - Wonder
He addressed her with a kind of wonder, for this wasn't Faye he was seeing; this woman was different, elegant, beautiful.

#05 - Worry
Faye worried about him when he was away, though she never told him; what she didn't know was the whenever she went out alone to gamble or collect a bounty, Spike's stomach drew into a tight knot, if for only a second.

#06 - Whimsy
It was a whimsical fantasy and nothing more; Spike would never love her, Spike could never love her.

#07 - Waste/Wasteland
Spike was sitting in the old bar, behind him was a ruined wasteland of fallen men, and for the life of him he could not understand why the only thought in his head was of Faye and the soft sounds she made when she was lost in dreams.

#08 - Whiskey and rum
It made for an interesting taste, the way the whiskey in his mouth mixed with the rum in hers... bitter and sweet all at once - addictive.

#09 - War
It was a war of wills, Jet could see it from the way they glared at one another; he would later ask himself why he couldn't have stayed out of it and remained neutral.

#10 - Weddings
"Most women are worrying about weddings and rings and dresses and marriages," Faye mused to herself, "Me? I'm thinking about how I'm going to keep him from bolting out of the bed when he wakes up in the middle of the night."

#11 - Birthday
"It's Faye-Faye's birthday," Edward was singing this while jumping up and down, it wasn't long before she set her golden eyes on Spike and the small bag in his hand, "What'd you get her, lunkhead?"

#12 - Blessing
"It's a blessing he hasn't killed himself yet," Jet said darkly to both Faye, who sat across from him with worry heavy in her eyes, and Spike, who was on the couch, unconscious and bandaged.

#13 - Bias
"Don't tell me you're getting biased," Jet was smiling a wide smile, "I see the way you've been hanging around Faye these days; is there something I should know about?"

#14 - Burning
He was burning inside for more, it was a craving that hadn't been satisfied in years; his hands slid up her thigh and and when he heard her soft gasps of pleasure- he felt the flame spread across his skin.

#15 - Breathing
He was listening to the way she was breathing, his head on her naked chest; her heartbeat made for the rhythm of a lullaby.

#16 - Breaking
She was breaking even; they'd go their separate ways and neither of them would be hurt, they'd go back to how it was before-- but still, somehow, it felt wrong.

#17 - Belief
"Did you really think," she was shouting at him, anger coursing through her veins, "that you could just wait for her all this time and toss me aside at her return; is your belief in --- your love for Julia so strong?"

#18 - Balloon
She released the balloon and watched it fly and within it was a small wish; Faye wondered if the piece of paper she had written on would continue to fly until it was gone somewhere deep in space or if it would fall, neglected and forgotten and unfulfilled.

#19 - Balcony
Faye was standing there, at the edge of the dimly lit balcony; Spike wondered at all if it would be appropriate to start quoting Romeo and Juliet- if only he had actually memorized the drama.

#20 - Bane
Julia was a bane, a silent poison that Faye knew could not be avoided; one day she'd be back, one day Spike would be gone.

#21 - Quiet
When they were out on bounties, Faye liked to sneak into his room and stand before his bed and do nothing more but close her eyes and imagine him there; there was something about the quiet peace and the knowledge that this was his place that relaxed her and filled her with something she couldn't even describe.

#22 - Quirks
With a frown on his face, Jet was watching her from across the room with her packed bags in her arms, "Spike... he's got his quirks and he's half blind and he's a pain in my ass, but you shouldn't give up on him; You shouldn't give up on us, Faye."

#23 - Question
"Question, question!" Ed twirled around the room, a crazed smile on her face, "Are you in looooooove, Faye-Faye... with Spike?"

#24 - Quarrel
Jet could hear them quarreling, despite the fact that they were on the opposite ends of the Bebop- their voices carried when they argued, the force of their words echoed off the cold steel of the ship.

#25 - Quitting
"I'm quitting smoking," he said, the cigarette dangling from his lips, "Once I'm done with you, I'm giving up cigarettes."

#26 - Jump
"Faye," Spike was looking up at her with arms were wide open and his voice unnaturally calm, it was her first sign that something was wrong, "Jump... do it now... just... jump."

#27 - Jester
There was an amused smile on her face, "Well if I'm the queen in this whole charade I guess that makes you the jester, Spike... or we can call you the fool if you prefer."

#28 - Jousting
Edward was dancing around the room and singing, Ein was in her arms trying to break free but realizing quite quickly that there was no escape, "Jousting! Jousting! All the men love Faye-Faye!"

#29 - Jewel
As she shook the water from her hair, thousands of tiny droplets went flying into the air around her; and for a moment, with the sunshine shining down on her, it was almost as if she was surrounded by thousands of tiny jewels, all reflecting light on to her skin.

#30 - Just
She was looking at him and was fighting tears, she refused to let herself cry in front of him, "It's just..."

#31 - Smirk
There was that smirk again on his lips, it was infuriating and it was irresistible; it made Faye want to strangle him and kiss him at the same time.

#32 - Sorrow
It was a sweet sorrow that held him there in that spot watching as Faye walked out of the room, out of his life, to be with some stranger; maybe, he lied to himself, it would be for the best.

#33 - Stupidity
Faye was running down the street, anger flushing her veins, the one thought that echoed through her mind was this, "He is utterly the stupidest man I have ever had the displeasure of meeting!"

#34 - Serenade
Faye was dreaming and she knew she was dreaming; only in a dream would Spike Spiegel be wearing a suit, holding an instrument, and serenading her with a love song.

#35 - Sarcasm
Her sharp tongue, her biting sarcasm didn't give her away; Spike knew that beneath her hard surface there was a frightened young woman who didn't want to get her heart broken.

#36 - Sordid
She wanted to know about his past, every sordid little detail; she wanted to really know who Spike was, but she knew that if she refused to share the dark secrets of her past, he wouldn't ever let her get that close.

#37 - Soliloquy
"I'm scared you'll make me forget her," this was his soliloquy that he wished to share with Faye, but was too proud or maybe too scared to admit in front of another living soul, "You scare me, Faye."

#38 - Sojourn
At the end of their sojourn they were nothing more than a tangle of limbs; it was night and Faye wanted to pretend, her head on his shoulder, that the sun would never rise again- if they could be lost in an endless night together for the rest of eternity, it would be enough for her.

#39 - Share
"If you're not going to share the money," Faye asked with a naughty smile on her lips, "Guess you're going to have to find another way to repay me."

#40 - Solitary
It was a solitary snow that fell on the lonely man; Faye was out there somewhere on this barren moon and he had to find her.

#41 - Nowhere
She melted into his arms and felt the bliss of knowing that she had nowhere to go and nowhere she wanted to be more than with him at that very moment.

#42 - Neutral
Jet Black sat between them, a neutral voice of reason that could counter their equally angry and passionate arguments; it was moments like these that Jet wished himself on another ship, another planet, anywhere but with these troublemakers.

#43 - Nuance
There were subtle nuances to his body that she enjoyed teasing; running her fingers over the rough skin and letting her lips linger over certain sections of his neck- she loved his body.

#44 - Near
Faye was too near, dangerously close- she was breathing unevenly, her eyes wide and childlike- he thought she was going to kiss him; and maybe he wouldn't mind.

#45 - Natural
It felt so natural to be held in her arms, especially when she slept; Spike closed his eyes and inhaled her scent and wrapped his arms around her waist-- sometimes he hated the sunrise.

#46 - Horizon
His eyes were on the horizon, staring at the tiny dot that was quickly fading away; Faye was in that tiny dot, that zip craft was hers- soon, she'd be nothing but a memory, lost in a sunset.

#47 - Valiant
"Figures!" She shouted in a rage, "Ever the valiant cowboy- you have to run out to save the damsel in distress but you can never stay here and face me- all you do is run, you fucking coward!"

#48 - Virtuous
Faye Valentine was far from virtuous, and as she stood there in his bedroom, naked and with a devilish smile on her face, Spike could tell that it was going to be a long night.

#49 - Victory
It was a small victory, but it meant something to Faye; that he would stay there with her all night and hold her in his arms, even if he wouldn't speak of it in the morning, meant something.

#50 - Defeat
Faye knew when she was defeated, just by the look in Spike's eye as he stared at Julia told her that there would be no going back; she'd lost the game and now, she'd lost him.

A few extra sentences:

Temptation
A sweet temptation, to be sure; that he could watch her there, her body curving delicately as she leaned over the pool table made him take a quick breath.

Shadow
"He's barely a shadow of a man," Faye was speaking quietly to Jet, "I know this- I know that half the time, he's somewhere else; but that's not going to scare me away... we've both got our scars from our pasts."
