#01 - Motion
In one fluid motion, he opened the door for her, the door to a place she had never been before...his apartment.
#02 - Cool
It was cool in there, a refreshing change from the sticky New York heat outside...heat that now seemed to seep up from the ground instead of beating down on them from above.
#03 - Young
"Sorry we had to come by here before we could get to the dinner, Montana, but the night's still young, right?"
#04 - Last
"For the last time, it's okay, Danny."
#05 - Wrong
It almost felt wrong for her to be here; he rarely let his guard down around her and now she was surrounded by his personal things.
#06 - Gentle
He saw the look on her face, gave her a gentle smile and nodded towards the couch.
#07 - One
"One minute, I promise...you can listen to some music or something."
#08 - Thousand
She smiled, went to his CD player as he went to his bedroom to change, a thousand different questions running through her head.
#09 - King
She looked at the things plainly in sight, her eyes drawn to the DVDs and "The King & I" in particular.
#10 - Learn
You learn something new about people every day, she thought to herself as she looked at his CDs as well and picked one up.
#11 - Blur
She pressed play and was mildly surprised to hear Blur coming from the speakers.
#12 - Wait
She waited a minute before heading in the general direction he'd disappeared into.
#13 - Change
"Can I change the CD?"
#14 - Command
"After this song," he said, though it didn't come out as a command.
#15 - Hold
She looked at the CD she was holding, hoping that if she didn't get to listen to her favorite song that he might at least let her borrow it.
#16 - Need
"You need to freshen up or anything?"
#17 - Vision
She moved towards the hallway, checked in the mirror on the wall there before replying "I'm good.
#18 - Attention
Her attention shifted when she heard the end of the song, meaning she could put in the new CD.
#19 - Soul
Soon, Michael Bublé and his soulful voice filled the room, and she went back near the door, ready to go.
#20 - Picture
"Good choice," he replied, and she could just picture the smile on his face, the one she heard in his voice.
#21 - Fool
The thought left her grinning like a fool.
#22 - Mad
Was she completely mad for hoping that they would end up not leaving the apartment that night?
#23 - Child
She shook her head, trying to remind herself that she was a woman and not a lovesick little kid.
#24 - Now
"Ready to go now?"
#25 - Shadow
He was standing there, halfway in the shadows, just looking at her.
#26 - Goodbye
She could kiss any rational reply goodbye as she took in the dark suit he'd changed into, the wolfish grin on his face...
#27 - Hide
And since he was in the shadows, of course she couldn't slink over there to hide.
#28 - Fortune
Finally, she was able to say, "I think it's my good fortune you're my date for this thing."
#29 - Safe
He nodded, and she was wondering if any woman in her position had seen it and still felt as safe around him as she did.
#30 - Ghost
"Hey Lindsay...you look like you've seen a ghost."
#31 - Book
Great...and he could read her like a book, too.
#32 - Eye
She looked him straight int he eyes and replied, "I'm fine...I'm just thinking."
#33 - Never
He nodded, then added, "Well, we'll never get to the rehersal dinner if we stand here gawking at each other."
#34 - Sing
Her heart wanted to sing; he'd been gawking at her?
#35 - Sudden
"We don't have to go...Stella won't miss us," she said suddenly.
#36 - Stop
Her heart felt like it stopped while she waited for a reply.
#37 - Time
Maybe time stopped, too.
#38 - Wash
God, he must be thinking she needed to wash her brain out with soap.
#39 - Torn
And then...the look on his face...he was thinking something through, and he looked torn.
#40 - History
And then something must have clicked, maybe their history together, because he came out of the shadows and kissed her, hard and fiercely.
#41 - Power
She ran her hands up and down his arms...she'd always wondered if they were as powerful as they looked.
#42 - Bother
They didn't have to bother with words, because the kisses said just about everything.
#43 - God
Maybe there was a God, she thought as his lips moved from her mouth to her neck, a God who
actually listened.
#44 - Wall
She was backed up between him and the wall, and there was no place she'd rather be right then.
#45 - Naked
He pulled away, his emotions naked in his eyes, something she hadn't seen directed at her before.
#46 - Drive
"You're beautiful," he said softly, in a low, husky voice guaranteed to drive her crazy.
#47 - Harm
She didn't know how to reply, afraid she'd say something stupid and ruin the moment or harm his ego...so she kissed him back, slowly and deliberately.
#48 - Precious
He was touching her like she was something precious and fragile and it drove her wild.
#49 - Hunger
There was some sort of ache that he'd started to fill, a hunger he'd started to sate.
#50 - Believe
She had to believe that this was the beginning of something, something that they'd both been looking for.
