A lot of these are interpreting the same aspects of Miki & Kozue's relationship because it's such a big thing in the series.
#1 - Walking
There was happiness, and then there was chaos, and then it seemed like they could heal their broken wings if they just walked the path one step at a time.
#2 - Waltz
Their relationship in itself was the most complicated waltz ever written and performed, but to the eye it was so complicated it was beautiful.
#3 - Wishes
They sit on the same step with a foot in between them, both wishing with all they had that they could go back to the garden and knowing that the other twin was thinking the same.
#4 - Wonder
Every other student council member could not figure out many things about Miki; his fascination for stopwatches was rather annoying but his fascination for his sister also confused them all, so they just had to wonder aloud to each other whenever the boy wasn’t around.
#5 - Worry
"I’ll be back, no need to worry," and she smiled at him so he had to agree; he knew she’d come back, but what worried him is that he knew she’d come back with another new smell on her skin to add to her growing collection.
#6 - Whimsy
Long ago he had this odd idea that he and his sister were like every other pair of siblings; how cleverly off that idea seemed to him now.
#7 - Waste/Wasteland
"I even tried going back without you," Kozue admitted once, "but it was just a waste in my mind so I couldn’t even make it all the way there."
#8 - Whiskey and Rum
It was widely known that Miki couldn’t hold his alcohol and Kozue had no guilt in taking his innocence if he couldn’t even remember it the next day.
#9 - War
Miki’s affections for that girl were too much for Kozue to bear; although that Anthy girl would never know it, this was a battle now.
#10 - Weddings
Long ago Miki was convinced his twin was right when she said they’d only ever need each other, and yet here he was giving away his beloved sister to someone else.
#11 - Birthday
When Kozue and Miki blew out the candles, a little bit of icing caught their breath and it landed on each other’s faces; they smiled and licked it off each other.
#12 - Blessing
Kozue would protect him with everything she had; she needed no blessing from anyone else.
#13 - Bias
His own sister had ruined him for everyone else; no other girl could ever compare to the bond he shared with her.
#14 - Burning
Miki wasn’t supposed to be a jealous person, but every time his sister came back and cuddled next to him, he could smell the places she’d been and the evil burning feeling inside him returned.
#15 - Breathing
Night was his favorite time, for after she had her fun they would lie so close to each other that Miki could feel his breathing and her breathing synchronize and he would for a moment feel truly connected to her again.
#16 - Breaking
Sometimes when people are hurt by someone they say that their heart shattered; this is not true for Miki, he can feel every piece of his heart fall away for every new person Kozue gives herself to.
#17 - Belief
"Do you have any beliefs you still hold dear, Kozue?" his tone was angry, but when she screamed "Yes!" back at him his face softened and she couldn’t bring herself to tell him what those beliefs were.
#18 - Balloon
This separation was ridiculous - they could read each others’ minds - and yet it was like there was a huge balloon between them; one day it would grow big enough for them to burst it; one day.
#19 - Balcony
They didn’t mind stealing kisses from each other on the Kiryuu’s balcony, for Nanami would definitely understand if she ever caught them.
#20 - Bane
She was like a deadly poison and instantly fatal, but she tasted so good that Miki couldn’t stop no matter what warning he might have given himself throughout his life thus far; who knows, maybe to her he was just as fatal as well.
#21 - Quiet
Many lovers could sit in silence and have it be just that, silence; this was not the case for Miki and Kozue, for when they sat in the quiet the thoughts of the other person were racing through their heads.
#22 - Quirks
Miki had his idiosyncrasies that everyone noticed; and then he had his idiosyncrasies that Kozue was only ever permitted to see, and that was when she was making him bite his lip and cry out at the same time with her ways of ecstasy.
#23 - Question
"Do you still have any faith in me, Miki?" she asked at 3 am, when she was still half-asleep; it brought tears to his eyes and he held her close while murmuring, "Yes, Kozue, yes, I’ll always have faith in you."
#24 - Quarrel
Kozue loved getting into arguments with Miki, because whenever she reached the point where she was really screaming at him he could never take it anymore and always tackled her to the floor before he planted heated kisses on her.
#25 - Quitting
He was 21 now and living alone in an apartment; he had to let go of her and move on, but just as he was about to finally throw away her picture there was a familiar knock on his door.
#26 - Jump
“Miki and I are the only ones that matter!” she was aggravated that no one could ever see this so she made a jump to attack Utena, wanting to eliminate her just for not understanding.
#27 - Jester
The only time Kozue ever was really joking was whenever she smiled at him and said, “I’m kidding, Miki, I’m kidding,” and then she really felt like a fool.
#28 - Jousting
When he was fencing, it was a personal competition within himself; hearing the swords clash it made him feel like he was in a dangerous battle and that he wasn’t as pure as Kozue said he was.
#29 - Jewel
One day he realized he’d never find his shining thing, because he couldn’t turn Kozue back into the gem she once was.
#30 - Just
He was almost out of distance, but her finger could just barely brush against his skin and with that sensation he was right next to her again in less than a second.
#31 - Smirk
Almost everything she said ended in a devilish smile - whenever she said, “Come on, Miki, just one more time,” and had that smile on her face he knew there were going to be plenty of times that followed.
#32 - Sorrow
The world still turned without her, the years went by without her, and the ingredients for milkshakes could still mix together without her - but he just couldn’t drink them without her because he felt dead inside whenever he tried.
#33 - Stupidity
There were many times when Kozue just wanted to slap Miki for being so stupid - but then she’d realize that he wasn’t stupid, he was just innocent - and keeping him that way was her sole purpose in life and she always refrained from striking him.
#34 - Serenade
They hated thoughts of romance, but they still couldn’t help sitting outside wrapped up close in the same blanket, pretending the full moon was shining on them and singing a song about only the two of them.
#35 - Sarcasm
“No, Miki, I don’t trust your judgment at all; in fact, every day I’m out there leaving you alone and talking to other people solely because I’m trying to keep you away from them,” her tone was one-hundred-percent sarcastic but her words were one-hundred-percent truth.
#36 - Sordid
His twin was the epitome of filth and he knew he should feel dirty to even be related to her, but really she let herself be so foul to keep him clean; because he knew this he loved her anyway.
#37 - Soliloquy
When he’s not around, Kozue often speaks her thoughts aloud to get them out of her mind; she doesn’t want him to read her thoughts because they’re too dirty for his beautiful innocent mind.
#38 - Sojourn
Every day all they can think about is how the place where they are now should be just like the garden; it should be a temporary place for their souls to rest and maybe in time they’ll move on from the disconnection they feel.
#39 - Share
When children are little, they are normally taught how to share - Miki and Kozue never needed those lessons then, they shared everything; it was at this point in their lives is when they needed that advice because now they shared next to nothing.
#40 - Solitary
Every moment he was alone he still thought about her; about how he wasn’t there for her that one day and how their little world was shattered.
#41 - Nowhere
Sometimes he'd look at her and he’d feel like he was going nowhere, just lost in time only able to wait for her to come back, and then he’d look at his stopwatch and see the numbers racing and he knew he was going somewhere as long as those numbers kept going; which is why he stopped it when certain things happened, so that he could start it again, see the numbers race, and try to convince himself there was more to moving forward than Kozue.
#42 - Neutral
When it came to the choice between still feeling these feelings or feeling nothing at all, all they had to do was look at each other and in minutes they were battling beneath the sheets, never wanting their affections to be neutral.
#43 - Nuance
When Miki recovered and finally got to see Kozue again, he saw the same sister he’d always had, but there was something off in the feeling surrounding her; she was darker somehow.
#44 - Near
She was far away in her sleep, crying out, "Where are you Miki?! Where?" and he’d be right next to her calling back, "Kozue, I’m here, I’m right here," but she didn’t wake up to reach him.
#45 - Natural
Anywhere else in society would tell them this wasn’t natural, and because they’d hear it in any other place they never mentioned it to each other.
#46 - Horizon
Miki could still only think of his own troubles when hoping for Utena to survive the final duel; maybe if she revolutionized the world there would be a new dawn for him and his sister after all.
#47 - Valiant
They wanted to always shelter the other, to be the brave hero in the other twin’s eyes; but when stripped down to their bare emotions they were both anything but brave.
#48 - Virtuous
Sometimes she was afraid to kiss him, afraid he’d catch some of her filth, but then she remembered she’d never caught any of his purity - and he had so much purity - so she always ended up kissing him anyway.
#49 - Victory
Kozue pinned him to the bed with great force, holding her mouth an inch away from his and murmuring "I win," then neither of them could stand it any longer and their lips met.
#50 - Defeat
Kozue sobbed over Miki’s grave; he died too young, much too young, and all the men she’d used to keep him away from her seemed like they were truly all for nothing now, because in the end she lost - she couldn’t protect him anyway.
