Series: Final Fantasy 7
Pairing: Reeve/Sephiroth
Theme Set: Delta
Rating: PG-13

#01 - Air
It wasn’t until nearly ten years after it was all over that Reeve realized what he missed most was the way the wind would catch up a few strains of that silver hair and make it dance all around that regal face.

#02 - Apples
When Reeve heard those words, his eyes went wide in shock and he had to ask, “You’ve never seen an apple?”

#03 - Beginning
There were very few people still alive who had ever laid eyes upon a child Sephiroth, but that was what Reeve counted as the moment he fell in love with the youth, and he was really sure the tears had nothing to do with it.

#04 - Bugs
While the picnic had started with good intentions and the best lunch that Reeve could pack, but when the ants found it more enjoyable to explore Sephiroth’s hair than their lunch, the two decided maybe it was better to stay at home.

#05 - Coffee
Sephiroth never could believe the rumors about Tseng’s obsession, but when he helped Reeve to steal and hide away the Wutain’s coffee mug, the results set him straight.

#06 - Dark
Somehow, he knew that Reeve was watching him now, trying his best to free him from his ‘mother’s’ control, but seeing that was hard through the haze in his mind.

#07 - Despair
‘Nibelheim’ one asked, and ‘Be careful’ followed that, because Reeve knew what Nibelheim hid, and it made him nervous.

#08 - Doors
Chivalry, Reeve had pointed out a hundred times, died many years back, but whenever he left work about the same time as Seph, it seemed that there was still a trace left.

#09 - Drink
Contrary to popular belief, mako didn’t actually seem to strengthen someone’s alcohol tolerance, just weakened it, which Reeve learned one night when the General showed up at his door, a stupid smirk on his face, a pink dress on, and leaning heavily upon Zack.

#10 - Duty
They both put work before their relationship, but neither of them dared to mention what that might one day force them to give up.

#11 - Earth
“If you could ask for anything in the world, what would you ask me for?” Sephiroth asked and Reeve hadn’t thought that his response would lead to the Meteor Crisis.

#12 - End
For every beginning there was an end, and theirs was not Nibelheim or Meteor, but when Hojo forbid them from meeting again.

#13 - Fall
Amid the leaves of red and yellow and brown Sephiroth looked like a god in his silver and black and with that smile on his face.

#14 - Fire
Though it seemed that it was a little cliché to mention Nibelheim, it was such an important even in their lives, that leaving it out would just be wrong.

#15 - Flexible
Sephiroth never seemed to stop teasing him about the amazing feats that Reeve performed in bed.

#16 - Flying
The first time that Reeve was on the Highwind it was on a trip to Junon, where the President intended to show off Sephiroth to the public, and it was on that trip that he joined the Mile High Club.

#17 - Food
‘LUNCH!’ Reeve shouted as he tackled the silver haired man in his kitchen, who had long hidden his talent for gourmet cooking.

#18 - Foot
Decorating for Halloween always caused Reeve to ponder his options, but when Sephiroth brought home some ‘props’ from Hojo’s lab, Reeve threw Halloween out the window.

#19 - Grave
No one else would have done it, but it needed to happen, so Reeve paid for the tombstone to be placed in Nibelheim, the hometown of his love.

#20 - Green
The whole world was in those green eyes, and only Reeve got to look at it.

#21 - Head
Let’s just say that apparently Reeve had a few skills Sephiroth appreciated that didn’t involve city planning…

#22 - Hollow
With a thunk and the following laughter, Reeve was quite sure that Sephiroth’s head really was hollow.

#23 - Honor
Coward, traitor, turncoat, all words used to describe them both, but in the end, when they waited for the Lifestream to accept them, it was their regrets that gave them a place of honor.

#24 - Hope
Through the eyes of Cait Sith he watched on as Sephiroth spoke to Cloud in the Temple, and for a second he wasn’t afraid because he could see the pain in those eyes he had so loved.

#25 - Light
There was nothing quite like how the sunrise played in the hair of Sephiroth, or the way it reminded Reeve just how lucky he was.

#26 - Lost
For the first three years they knew each other, neither was aware of the other’s feelings, just wandered around in a haze, praying to catch the other’s eye.

#27 - Metal
Masamune was a thing of beauty matched only by the regal grace of its master, but Reeve never had the will to say it aloud.

#28 - New
It was all new to him - buying sweets, taking Reeve to dinners, spending nights together - yet Sephiroth found that in the end Reeve repaid him in full.

#29 - Old
Reeve always teased that no one would ever know Sephiroth was getting on in years because his hair had beat him to it.

#30 - Peace
When it was all over and a tentative calm had set in, Reeve had mourned at last, because Sephiroth had always wanted to see peace and had brought it about by trying to destroy it.

#31 - Poison
Neither really realized how far they would go for the other until the fateful question was posed: ‘Would you drink it if I asked?’

#32 - Pretty
They knew that when it came right down to it, Reeve wouldn’t be winning any beauty contests, but that didn’t make him stop loving the fact that he tried anyway.

#33 - Rain
The General watched him as he stood out on the balcony, letting the water wash the tears from his face, tears that fell because the General had died, and Sephiroth wondered why he deserved to watch this beauty when he was the one that caused the pain.

#34 - Regret
In the very beginning they promised not to have any regrets about what their relationship became.

#35 - Roses
“I can’t believe you got these,” Reeve stated in awe, only to have Sephiroth respond, “You are worth it.”

#36 - Secret
No one could ever know about them: Hojo would forbid it; the Turks would tease; Zack would insist upon photos; and the president…

#37 - Snakes
To think that the Great Sephiroth was afraid of anything was more than just funny for Reeve, it was what lead to him sneaking a rubber snake into his desk.

#38 - Snow
Their first vacation together was to Icicle, and Reeve watched in amusement as his young General built a snow man and made snow angels near their cabin.

#39 - Solid
Sometimes it was far harder than someone expected to be a Shin-Ra executive and it was at those times that he was happiest to have Sephiroth as an anchor.

#40 - Spring
Of all of their times together, Reeve remembered none as fondly as the time in the field of flowers outside of Mideel.

#41 - Stable
Okay, so Reeve wasn’t one to brag, but yeah, they’d done it there too.

#42 - Strange
“Weirdest place you’ve ever done it,” Reno asked, and both Reeve and Sephiroth grinned, thinking about that ball-pit at that kids place where they’d almost been caught.

#43 - Summer
Summer time always had one thing to perk Reeve right up: Sephiroth sucking on popsicles all day.

#44 - Taboo
When Hojo told him that he should not waste his precious genes on Reeve, Sephiroth just laughed and told Hojo to try and stop him.

#45 - Ugly
“Don’t make me hit you with an ugly stick,” Reeve threatened when Sephiroth stole the covers from him one time to many.

#46 - War
He knew that there was nothing Sephiroth had more nightmares about than Wutai.

#47 - Water
There was one thing that Reeve came to realize after the Geostigma was cured: In the water he would one day find his lover whole.

#48 - Welcome
The first time Reeve laid eyes upon Sephiroth the oddest thought came over him: he was home.

#49 - Winter
Once Sephiroth commented about how he felt as the winter gave way to spring, and Reeve couldn’t help but think of how like a fragile spring bud he was.

#50 - Wood
Only one thing to say about that in Reeve’s book: ‘wink wink nudge nudge’.
