Notes: My first 1sentence challenge. =3 Hope it doesn't suck royally.
#01 - Walking
They walked through many things together, gigantic flowerbeds, jungles, deserts, even the innards of a whale, but somehow, the harsh terrain was a little kinder to their weary feet just knowing the other was walking with him.
#02 - Waltz
Jack Skellington was a graceful dancer who, despite being a skeleton, danced with vigor and enthusiasm; when in assumed jest, Sora grabbed his shorter companion and they tripped over each other's feet in time with the three beat pattern of the waltz, somehow, their bumbling seemed just as good as Jack's beautiful footwork.
#03 - Wishes
There was once a time that if you asked him what his one wish would be, Sora would answer, without a doubt, it would be to return to his island with his two childhood friends; ask him again a few weeks later, and he would answer the same thing, but with less conviction and a torn, longing look in the general direction of a certain mage friend of his.
#04 - Wonder
It was a surprise, yet clearly obvious from the start, that there was some kind of special relationship between them; the mystery was figuring out exactly what that connection was.
#05 - Worry
Donald felt more than bad, abandoning Sora like that, nearly defenseless without his Keyblade, but it was what the King ordered, and the King was more important...right?
#06 - Whimsy
Both of them had entertained the thought that if they were going to get together - which would obviously never happen because they so did not have a thing for the other - how the hell would they kiss?
#07 - Waste/Wasteland
Donald made a beautiful bird, Sora had decided, with pure white feathers that faded into a brilliant blue; really, he was the only thing worth looking at in the barren Pride Lands.
#08 - Whisky and Rum
The Captain raised an eyebrow as Sora tried to explain that he and Donald were only exploring the ship, they had heard from Will that Jack kept alcohol in one of the store rooms and they went to investigate, only to find it empty, much to their disappointment; the Captain seemed to accept this answer and left, closing the door, only to realize something very, very important; Jack Sparrow then poked his head back in and asked in the most pathetic voice, "But why is all the rum gone?"
#09 - War
In the beginning, they declared war on each other, disagreeing on everything possible, from who would drive the Gummi Ship to whether attacks or magic were better for eliminating Heartless; sometimes, they would fight just for the sake of fighting, just so they could toss and tumble.
#10 - Weddings
Sora felt the jaws of irony bite down on his heart as he stood as the best man at Riku and Kairi's wedding; had he known things would turn out this way, that he would become the third wheel and be left all alone, he would have chosen not to return home and spend the rest of his days cruising around the worlds and pushing the buttons of an irritable friend of his.
#11 - Birthday
While asleep, Sora's birthday had come and gone, so a belated celebration at Hollow Bastion was in order; while he received many gifts, Sora felt that the best aspect of the day was that Donald could not roll his eyes at him whenever he did something childish.
#12 - Blessing
Sora had come to realize in due time just how fortunate he was to have loyal and dear friends like Donald and Goofy - he was also thankful that the former felt the same way (though he didn't show it).
#13 - Bias
It was obvious that the Keyblade master preferred his other friends from his home, and to Donald, that was the most crippling blow of all.
#14 - Burning
When he heard Riku degrade Sora just to fuel his own ego and justify his actions, Donald could feel the heated flames of a Fira spell gather around him.
#15 - Breathing
At first, upon their first venture into Atlantica, Sora worried that he would drown in the water, but Donald assured him everything would be fine; when Sora found that he could breathe, he found it was because that he could trust Donald more than anything else.
#16 - Breaking
Although he matured a little with age, Sora was still a reckless driver, and when the youth lost a wing of the Gummi Ship from an unfortunate run in with an asteroid, Donald shoved the boy out of the pilot's seat, grabbed the controls, and remarked that only Sora could find an asteroid to collide with in the vast nothingness they were in.
#17 - Belief
Although they both knew otherwise, they liked to convince themselves, even just for a moment, that the journey would never end, just so they didn't have to say goodbye.
#18 - Balloon
"Cheer up, have a balloon," Sora had said, waving said object in front of Donald's eyes; two seconds later, it exploded in his face, and Sora was on the ground twitching from the effects of a Thundaga spell.
#19 - Balcony
Inside the forlorn castle, Hollow Bastion, the Beast stayed up during the night to keep watch, and while Goofy slept fitfully, Sora went out onto the balcony only to find an insomniac Donald; they learned a lot about each other that night.
#20 - Bane
They once considered the other to be the bane of his existence, now they can't imagine going through life without knowing the other.
#21 - Quiet
Silence between them usually was out of respect or a mutual understanding, but to Goofy, it meant a moment of rest for the both of them would never stop bickering at each other.
#22 - Quirks
They both had their oddities: Sora liked grilled cheese sandwiches with ketchup and Donald liked them with chocolate - and it was these little things that made them connect on a more personal level.
#23 - Question
When the inevitable questions came, Riku and Sora cut each other a deal: Riku would never bring up strange questions about Donald and Sora would do the same about the King.
#24 - Quarrel
While most of their fights were for play, there was one particularly nasty spat late at night in Hollow Bastion - Donald demanded to know whether Sora truly valued Riku and Kairi over him; when Sora retorted with a sharp "why do you care what I think," the mage threw himself into the boy's arms and that was all the answer he needed.
#25 - Quitting
Sora always wondered exactly how old Donald and Goofy really were, but whenever he tried to ask, the former would start ominously charging a Thundaga spell and the boy would always back off.
#26 - Jump
It may have just been the stress from working too hard, but Leon could have sworn that those glomps looked a little too friendly.
#27 - Jester
Jack Sparrow merely grinned like a maniac and asked if things were cozy enough; he got dual Blizzaga spells to the face.
#28 - Jousting
Sora and Xaldin stood on opposite sides of the stone bridge, staring each other down; when they finally charged each other, Donald choked back a cry as the spears attacked the Keyblade wielder mercilessly.
#29 - Jewel
Donald inspected the accessory - the designs were skillfully cut and the gemstone centerpiece...it was absolutely beautiful - he didn't know Sora could synthesize so well; in truth, however, the Moogle did all the work - Sora just picked the jewel.
#30 - Just
It wasn't a typical relationship - just being together, just seeing each other, and just knowing the other was there was enough for them.
#31 - Smirk
There was a wicked smile on Sora's face, and Donald knew that he was about to do something profoundly stupid.
#32 - Sorrow
Donald had said that their ship ran on happy faces, and Sora was anything but cheerful; little did he know that in a couple of days, that wouldn't be the case.
#33 - Stupidity
Goofy sighed and merely shook his head once the fighting started yet again...and they thought he was the stupid one?
#34 - Serenade
Neither of them were expected to be good singers, but upon hearing their voices, Sebastian nearly died and forced both Sora and Donald to undergo voice training - Goofy, on the other hand, was given a solo.
#35 - Sarcasm
"Sure Yuffie, go ahead and tell them," Sora snorted, "it always was my dream to mindrape the residents of Hollow Bastion."
#36 - Sordid
Sora wondered if these strange thoughts of his were unnatural and creepy - but then again, he remembered that he's had worse.
#37 - Soliloquy
What did that idiot think he was doing, stabbing himself with that dark Keyblade - there must have been another way; he didn't have to throw his life away like that - didn't he think about what Kairi would have to go through, knowing that he sacrificed himself for her, better yet, what I had to go through watching him do that...if I could see him one more time, I'd tell him what I really think of him - that he's a bright, honorable, and brave kid - then proceed to tear him apart limb by limb.
#38 - Sojourn
There were many things that they enjoyed about returning to Traverse Town for a night's rest - good food, a warm bed, and a chance to see friends, but the best thing was to spend a stress-free day making each other's lives miserable.
#39 - Share
Sometimes Donald was jealous of how close Sora, Riku, and Kairi were, but as long as Sora still cared about him, he thought he could share.
#40 - Solitary
Donald blinked and looked around the dark room, the only source of light being the glowing Heartless symbol on the ground - he was alone in the dark, and he didn't like it.
#41 - Nowhere
When he heard his home - his island - was gone, Sora felt homeless - but Donald served as the brother that he never had.
#42 - Neutral
There was no such thing as middle ground when it came to their opinions; they fought so much that one would think that they enjoyed it.
#43 - Nuance
The affection between them was, at first, not apparent, but after observing them for a while, it becomes more than obvious.
#44 - Near
Sora raised his Keyblade into the air and a thunderbolt rained down onto an unsuspecting Heartless - as it faded away, he felt a pang of jealousy - his magic would never be anywhere near what Donald's could do.
#45 - Natural
"It's not natural," Sora's mind would tell him, but the boy would just frown and bark right back, "nothing that's happened to me is natural."
#46 - Horizon
Once, Sora, Riku, and Kairi would look out towards the ocean and wonder what was out there; now Sora can grin at them and say he had two friends that showed him.
#47 - Valiant
Bravery comes in many forms - Sora just never thought it would ever appear as a duck.
#48 - Virtuous
If you asked everyone you knew if they thought Donald Duck was virtuous, the only person besides Goofy who wouldn't laugh would be Sora.
#49 - Victory
There was only one slice of cake left and they both wanted it, they wrestled and fought, and only after Sora placed a small kiss on the bird's head and used the moment of confusion to claim his prize.
#50 - Defeat
Months later, the cake scenario happened again, but this time, Goofy had taken the last slice when neither of them was watching.
