1. Comfort- No mater how bad a day Michael had, there was always a wide array of comfort food on the table, specially prepared for him by John.
2. Kiss- That spark, the electricity they felt each time their lips touched, made every kiss feel like their first one.
3. Soft- A man of taste, Abruzzi always appreciated the silken quality of his Michael's skin.
4. Pain- “Shh, shh,” John coed, gently comforting the whimpering man below him, “It always hurts the first time.”
5. Potatoes- “Michael, are you a native Idahoan?” He asked. “No, John. . . why?”
“Because if I eat another potato, whether it's au gratin, hash browns, or baked, I think I'm going to sprout a potato plant out of my ear.”
6. Rain- As his soaked protector came in from the tempest outside, Michael helped him out of his clothes and into the warm bath he had prepared. “What were you thinking walking all the way to the store in this downpour!?”
“Y-you said you wanted some ice cream.” said the Italian through chattering teeth.
7. Chocolate- “John baby,” Michael whined from the comfort of the warm bed as the snow swirled outside, “I'm cold, make me some hot chocolate?” He giggled a little at the loud yet low-pitched grumble that came from the kitchen as a clatter erupted, the sounds of pots and pans being rifled through for him and his hot cocoa.
8. Happiness- Although the thought would have sickened him this time last year, curling up with Michael in his arms gave the big, seemingly tough Abruzzi a new definition of happiness.
9. Telephone- “Hold on, let me check,” he said as he held the receiver tightly to his chest. “John honey, it's your ex-wife.”
“Tell her I'm not here. . .I-I'm out shopping.” John responded, covering his head with the bedspread.
10. Ears- As tough an exterior as he put off, it could all be brought down, he could be brought to his knees by the feeling of Michael's lips, his teeth nibbling on his ear.
11. Name- “Come here pooky.” Michael said, looking at something in the electronics aisle. Before he could even breathe, John's hand was at his throat as John growled. “Don't you ever call me that in public again, got it?” He dropped his hand and kissed his cheek. "I'm sorry, now what did you want?" His frustration could still be heard as Michael stifled a giggle, because John did exactly what he'd expected him to do. Pooky, heh.
12. Sensual- Though the mobster had a gruff exterior, when he was alone in bed, with Michael, his entire personality changed, and he became caring, even sensual.
13. Death- No matter how long it had been, Michael always broke down on this day, the day of his mother's death. He sobbed into the chest of John, who was comforting him, singing him an old Italian lullaby because his deep bass voice always soothed him.
14. Sex- Bucking and gasping filled the room and two bodies moved as one in rhythmic ecstacy.
15. Touch- Michael knew that not one single soul could arouse him so much by simply running his fingers through his hair.
16. Weakness- Mafia men weren't supposed to have weaknesses, he thought. Then why did he have trouble standing every time Micheal smiled at him?
17. Tears- As the crystal droplets fell from the younger man's eyes, John's lips gently touched Michael's cheeks, kissing the hurt away.
18. Speed- John stopped and knelt as Michal raced ahead. “You win this time, Michael.” He said to himself as the music of his laughter reached his ears.
19. Wind- “Well when did you get this second wind?” John asked as he watched Michael bolt up the stairs three at at time to their condo after a day of hard working out. He resigned himself to wait for the elevator.
20. Freedom- He took a deep breath, inhaled the air outside. It was crisper, cleaner than the sticky musty air inside those walls. He looked at the younger man as he monkeyed his way across the wire and whispered, “Thank you Michael.”
21. Life- The reality of their safety became apparent as the two men came to life from groggy slumber in their humble apartment in Cuba.
22. Jealousy- He loved seeing the angry glower on Lincoln's face when he cooed over his brother. Michael was his now, and proving it was all part of the fun.
23. Hands- “Jesus Christ!!” Michael screamed and jumped, “Your hands are FREEZING!” He said as he turned to the giggling mass behind him. “Well that's what happens when you de-ice the freezer.”
24. Taste- Michael smiled as John came out of the dressing room grumbling. “Aww, see?” he cooed, “I told you I have good taste.”
“That doesn't mean I have to like it.” John uttered begrudgingly.
25. Devotion- Once at home John had two devotions to fulfill. One was to the Lord, and the other was to Michael.
26. Forever- “Promise me it'll be like this forever.” A soft voice whispered in his ear as he lay on the bed wrapped in blankets and arms. “I promise, Michael, I promise.”
27. Blood- “Dammit! I said be careful!” He said as he clutched the spot on his jawline. “Sorry, John, I've never used an old fashioned razor before.”
28. Sickness- “Eat this. It tastes like shit, but the effects are worth it.” John said, holding out a putrid-smelling liquid in a bowl to the shivering, sniffling, sneezing man huddled under the covers.
29. Melody- “What is that song?” Michael murmured wrapped in a blanket with his head on John's chest. “It's an old Italian Lullaby,” John whispered into his ear before continuing the entrancing melody, stroking Michael's hair softly.
30. Star- He looked up to the brightest star, then closed his eyes and made a wish. He was startled when Michael came up behind him and whispered in his ear, “What'd you wish for?” He didn't answer, but he thought: to never lose you.
31. Home- Though what they stood in could barely be considered a house, let alone a building, standing together wrapped around each other like this, it was their home.
32. Confusion- It had intrigued him that first day when he saw John standing shirtless in front of him with what could only be described as a seductive smile on his face. Intrigued him, but confused him to no end as well.
33. Fear- His breath was labored as he ran through the woods. For the first time in a long time, he was scared, truly scared as he grabbed onto Michael's hand for strength.
34. Lighting/Thunder- A bright light flashed through the house as a loud “Dammit!!” echoed the halls. “I'm gonna guess that wasn't lightning.” Michael surmised, coming up behind the grumbling figure at the fusebox.
35. Bonds- Though they weren't visibly apparent, the bonds between these two men were like two powerful magnets. They would be stuck together for eternity.
36. Market- “We don't want any magazines, and there's no Ignacio here! No hay un Ignacio aqui!” Michael yelled into the phone and slammed down the handset, glaring at John. “Don't laugh, that's the fifth time today and it's not even ten AM yet!”
37. Technology- “Dammit!” John yelled as he threw the MP3 player against the wall. “How hard is it to play one song?! I can't even listen to the Chairman of the Board!”
38. Gift- As he rested in the stronger arms of John Abruzzi, he realized what a gift he was given every time their lips met.
39. Smile- “Big tough John Abruzzi weak in the knees?” Michael said, flashing his pearly whites again and giggling as the tough Mafia man had trouble standing.
40. Innocence- All the atrocities and unlawfulness he'd committed, John was always amazed at how innocent Michael continued to look.
41. Completion- “Buono appetito." He said as he placed the finished chicken Caprese in front of a blindfolded Michael, who was visibly drooling from the exquisite smell.
42. Clouds- Lips met lips, deep moans escaped both throats, and then he suddenly pulled away. “I'm sorry, John. . .I can't do this when you're drunk.” He hung his head and walked away as John stumbled into his easy chair and let the cloudiness overtake his mind.
43. Sky- It was absolutely entrancing, the way he lost himself in those orbs of sky that gazed up at him and the hand that caressed his cheek.
44. Heaven- After all the shit he'd been through, all the horrors he'd had to live through, all of that melted away as he saw heaven within that smile.
45. Hell- Even though it felt so good, John was inwardly anguished. He knew that being with Michael was a sin, and he was going straight to Hell, but it fulfilled a burning desire within him, so he continued, because it quenched his insatiable thirst.
46. Sun- though he hated being outside prolongedly, the look on John's face when he came inside all sweaty was worth it in spades.
47. Moon- Night fell quickly as the moonlight shown in on two bare bodies cuddled together in the sheets.
48. Waves- As the car pulled away, waves of sorrow cascaded over him. Pull yourself together, he's only going to work, he said as the car disappeared over the horizon. But he's still going to be gone. The man shuffled back inside and flopped onto the couch, flicking on the television to watch one of those Spanish soaps he never understood.
49. Hair- “MICHAEL!!” He bellowed, his eyes glaring through the mirror. “Yes, John?” he asked, smiling coyly behind him in the reflection, “I don't care HOW bored you get when you can't sleep, you do NOT braid my hair!”
50. Supernova- “Shit! Dammit John!” Michael cried as he slumped to the ground, his gloved hand grasping his head. “Oh Lord, Michael, are you okay?”
“Sure, John, unless seeing a rainbow supernova in place of your face isn't okay.” He grumbled, picking up the baseball and lightly chucking it back into John's face.
