Well, I finally finished this entry! Yay for me!=D Anyway, Ill just get to it.

Fandom: Invader Zim

Theme set: Gamma
Rating: PG 13

Notes: The setting for this pairing is a fanfic I wrote for IZ. If you want, you can read it here:

Here's the sentences: 1. Ring: His mother had a ring that he had always seen her with; it once had been a polished silver but gradually became tarnished; he often thought back to that ring and knew he had learned something from it- nothing shines for long; that is how he knows that Purple’s fascination with him will eventually fade.

2. Hero: Dib had aspired to being a hero and Zim’s arrival seemed to be the perfect chance; if only he had known how he would end up- broken, twisted to incurable madness- he could have better prepared; still, he was too far gone to care and discarded his old views, embracing the game he had started with the alien leader.

3. Memory: The mere thought of her is enough to make him shudder; the not quite dreams he has of her are chilling in their sense of déjà vu; her whispers, when waking or not, will never leave him: “I know what’s wrong with you. I know what you’re doing. That thing has you. It’ll never let go and you won’t want it to.”

4. Box: It’s fascinating, the creature thinks, to see what the things are doing; it taunts the ruby one in its cell, the terror the prisoner exudes delicious; it merely watches the violet and amber, primitively sensing that they’re hurting each other fine on their own; it notices that both the ruby and amber are powerful, in different ways, even if they are stuck in metal boxes.

5. Run: After he had stolen the kiss from the Tallest, he sat delightedly on his bed; he was content, for his earlier boredom was gone and it was amusing that Purple had to run away from his very presence; it was obvious from the look in his violet eyes that, no matter how far he fled, Purple would be back again.

6. Hurricane: The harsh gusts whipped viciously into his face, drops of water blowing along within the wind; as he watched strong vegetation bowing in the gale, he turned to his companion, violet eyes shielded by protective goggles, and was silenced by the enthrallment glittering in amber.

6. Wings: The Taranian Queen towered above them, the evidence of her royal inheritance spread at her back, violet blood staining the black ground; amber gazed at the grotesque, leathery wings with disgusted admiration, while violet eyes stared with trepidation at his companion; both flinched when fierce gold blazed at them, alight with mocking knowledge.

7. Cold: Irkens, in general, were logical and held only a belief in methodology; humans were the opposite, ruled by their impulses and emotions; it is only natural for humans to see the clinical Irkens as cold, while the Irkens see humanity as a collection of foolishness; it is ironic that the one human was icy in his isolation, while the Tallest was burned by his unknown passions.

8. Red: He has seen detailed reports on human anatomy, his obsession fueling his research; despite this knowledge, he’s still surprised when the wounded captive bleeds red, the blood disturbing in its brilliance and quantity.
9. Drink: The scarlet fluid flowed through the glass, reflecting darkly in violet eyes; he stared blankly at it, the blood-red surface acting as a tainted mirror, the images cast back eerily distorted: he could see, and feel, the elation, and later pain, as he was placed in power; he could see the destruction done by Zim in the first campaign; and last, broken amber flashing with depraved intensity.

10. Midnight: Back on Earth, Dib had enjoyed laying on his home’s roof, staring at the nighttime sky; while he was living one of his dreams- being amongst the stars- he was too damaged to find any thrill in it; he had no choice but to replace his midnight pleasure with a new one- tormenting Purple.

12. Temptation: The human smiled malevolently, amber glimmering with bright mirth; though he knew the expression to be entirely false, he couldn’t help wishing it was real; the cheer in Dib’s eyes, no matter how fake, was startlingly addictive.

13. View: The Massive had an enormous amount of windows, the darkness of space glowing through the panes; even contained in a once lab, Dib had a small viewing point to gaze at the stars, and he still, despite his madness, held his childhood fascination with the black vastness; he would turn his back to that one source of wonder whenever the violet-eyed Tallest came for a visit.

14. Music: He could hear the tune in his head, the melody a constant repetition of something he’d listened to long ago; occasionally, he would hum it aloud, prompting violet eyes to gaze at him with sharp intensity.

15. Silk: His voice was soft, manipulative, as it stole through his mind and flowed over his skin; the words were vaguely meaningless, their importance something he could not grasp; “I’ve seen far too much of Death to appreciate it.”

16. Cover: As he joined Red back in the main control room, he self-consciously rubbed a hand over his mouth; it was almost as if he were trying to hide something from his co-ruler, even though the human’s presence was far from them.

17. Promise: Violet eyes were wide with horrified shock as they watched the lights shooting across the horizon; Purple turned in their shared space, his gaze locking with amber; the human shrugged at the other’s desperate confusion, “At least things will be interesting from now on.”

18. Dream: As a smeet, Purple had shared something in common with most of his fellow Irkens- a desire to be powerful; that aspiration was reached at his coronation, the masses cheering their reverence; now his infrequent sleep is filled with images of fire, shrieks, and the strange sound of a nearly innocent mind breaking, the shards tainting amber.

19. Candle: The dim light of the console flickered across his face, glaring over his glasses; in the half-light, he stared at the resting Tallest, idly thinking that the flickers cast would be the same by candle light.
20. Talent: Zim had a knack for annoying all those he came in contact with, while Dib was renowned for how nerve wracking his insane rants were; now the two are drastically different- Zim silent in his cell, Dib smirking in restless madness; Purple also has something uniquely his own- the ability to distract an idle mind from its self-destructive musings.

21. Silence: There are times when the human will refuse to speak, doing nothing but staring mockingly at him; he no longer finds that unsettling; now he’s disturbed with how he is beginning to understand, become comfortable with the long moments of silence.

22. Journey: She smiled in concerned bemusement, watching the two mismatched companions as they advanced on their quest; she can see that they are, despite appearances, going to have one hell of a ride.

23. Fire: At first, the images were blurred, opaque; suddenly, with a breathtaking swiftness, they came into focus, forming into a crystal clear picture; he could feel the heat from the flames, hear the crackles, and see the human, staring with horrified disbelief at the blazing holocaust, hellish lights reflected in glass.

24. Strength: Red was the one that usually handled all the truly difficult decisions, leaving Purple to make all the ridiculous demands he wanted; now, he has found an inner resolve, one that whispers dark promises in his mind, telling him to take what he wants; there are times when the quiet voice makes it nearly impossible to even think of the captive.

25. Mask: After the encounter with the Queen, he came to a realization about his companion; the madness, possibly, was merely a mask for the human’s pain, a way to protect him from having to confront just what it was that he had lost; of course, he could be wrong.

26. Ice: The depths of space are freezing, the automatic temperature control the only thing keeping them from the outside cold; that is nothing compared to the chill he gets when the human smiles at him, his blood turning icy in his veins.

27. Fall: There are Irken laws for about everything- rank, interaction, strategy, and interspecies relations; however, there was nothing about falling for an alien individual; it was probably because something like that should have been blatantly obvious; doesn’t help him deal with his growing feelings for the human.

28. Forgotten: Once in a while, Dib will silently reminisce, sorting his memories into ordered, less chaotic groups; often, he is aware of things he has nearly forgotten- Gaz’s tenacity, his father’s neglect, his mother- and that prompts him into a stoic, angry withdrawal; at those times, violet regards him with dim concern, curiosity also swirling within.

29. Dance: Purple stared at the alien leader with bewildered fear, violet eyes wide; Dib laughed with gleeful mocking, tugging the Irken Tallest into an easy dance, amber bright with pleasure at the other’s discomfort.

30. Body: To his shocked disbelief, he often finds himself watching the human as he dresses, inquisitive violet roving over the pale flesh; he tries to quell his embarrassment by dismissing his observations as mere clinical consideration.

31. Sacred: Dib holds few things sacred- his own thoughts, motives, and remembrances- and is quick to lose his temper if he sense any violations of those things; Purple doesn’t know this, but speedily recognizes the triggers of Dib’s anger, learning when to press and when not to.

32. Farewells: Dib never got a chance to say goodbye to any of the people he had known; instead, he gives farewells in his own mind, picturing how they would have responded to the words; while the process is sometimes amusing, it also makes him a little crazier, prompting him to play more viciously with Purple.

33. World: “Your world lives, thrives, while mine is dead, obliterated”- harsh, stale breath fans across jade skin-“somebody is going to pay for that”- an equally fierce kiss, rage fuelling the passion.

34. Formal: He watches as the Irkens fall over themselves to please their leaders, those taller than themselves; he snickers to himself at the behavior, reflecting that his own interaction with one of the Tallest is anything but proper, as he always treats the visitor with disrespect, manipulating all situations to his advantage.

35. Fever: Amber glints at him, delirium burning within them; when the human smiles softly at him, he has to remind himself that the sickness is to blame.

36. Laugh: Dib is laughing at something again, amber darkened with sadistic cheer; unbidden, he shivers, idly wondering if he’ll ever hear the other giving good-natured laughter.

37. Lies: “I’ve done a hell of a lot of things, Purple, but I’ve never hidden behind lies; I omit stuff, yes, but I don’t lie.”

38. Forever: His breathing begins to falter and as blackness presses into the corners of his vision, his thoughts wander to Purple, his mind foggily recalling something he had once said to the Irken ruler; “Nothing lasts forever, not even your beloved Empire.”

39. Overwhelmed: Everything is happening too fast- the humans continue to rebel, Lai’s research is out of control, and the Dib is terrifying-; is it any wonder that he finds comfort in the captive’s constant insanity, or that he responds to the chaos around him by giving in to something he knows he shouldn’t?; it’s not his fault, he’s just overwhelmed.

40. Whisper: Dib’s mouth is right next to his antennae, his oddly warm breath brushing against the stalks as he breathes; as he speaks, they shudder in response, the low tone of the words strangely pleasant; “What do you want?”; he doesn’t voice a retort, his mind blanked at the feel of the whisper.

41. Wait: Purple usually takes what he wants, when he wants it, whether its food or a weapons design; however, he needs more patience when dealing with the prisoner, even when a distant part of him just wants to pounce and demand the attentions it desires.

42. Talk: Once, for no reason he can comprehend, he asks the human a question he later knows is dangerous; “What’s it like to have no planet to return to?”; at the time, he is surprised at the veiled, burning retaliation; “What would you do if you could never go back to Irk? If you couldn’t physically visit your home? Until you know what that feels like, you leave me the hell alone.”

43.Search: “Just what is that you want?” They both stare at the Taranian, both wondering whom she’s speaking to, while the answers play in both their minds.

44. Hope: Cadaverous golden eyes burned at the human, the oddly proud slave grinning with contentious scorn; “I have something to strive for. You have nothing. What keeps you going?”- Dib surprised both her and Purple with his response, his shoulders lifting in a callous shrug; “If you must know, its vengeance. Someone will pay for what’s been done to me”- violet shuddered at the bland declaration, a strange concern washing over the Tallest.

45. Eclipse: Amber stared at the eclipsing satellites with wonder, glinting with excitement; violet narrowed with slight boredom, though a glimpse at the human prompted a newfound interest in the phenomenon.

46. Gravity: The human grinned with mad abandon, amber eyes bright with eagerness; violet eyes widened as the human sped the ship to dangerous speeds, the vessel cutting through space; as Dib laughed, it was apparent that the gravity of the situation was unnoticed in his insanity.

47. Highway: He unconsciously held his breath as they passed through the busy space highway, a multitude of vessels speeding through space; as soon as they bypassed the scouts, he sighed in relief, flashing his companion a weary smile without giving it much thought.

48. Unknown: He gazed at Dib as he slept, watching as the thin chest rose and fell with each even breath; he didn’t understand the human at all, and suspected that he never would.

49. Lock: Amber gazed at him with an emotion he couldn’t decipher, the odd look shifting something uneasily in his stomach; he gasped as he was pushed back into the room, the metal door slamming shut and locking milliseconds later, the human now lost to him.

50. Breathe: At the sight of the massive pools of crimson, he shook, antennae flattening in denial; as he neared the mangled, still form, he forgot how to breathe, his heart freezing in his chest.
