02. Apples: It doesn’t matter how many apples Wilson eats, House never stays away.
03. Beginning: Wilson feels slightly cheated when he learns that House quoted Casablanca to the Stalker Girl (as Cuddy has dubbed her), it was theirs that was a beautiful friendship.
04. Bugs: When Wilson tells House stories about catching fireflies as a boy, he never expects to come home to see House vainly trying to catch one for himself.

07. Despair: Wilson watches House go through detox again and wishes desperately that he could do something to numb the pain.
08. Doors: Damn that Jim Morrison for being right; the world seemed alien and ugly when Stacy left…until Wilson forced his way through the House’s barriers.
09. Drink: Surprisingly, when Wilson kisses House for the first time, it’s not after a night of drinking, but after House tells him he can move back in.
10. Duty: House glares at the waiting room full of people and imagines much more interesting things to do instead of clinic duty.
11. Earth: House loves to ride his bike after the rain, the smell of earth mixing with the smell of oil and gas, and wishes that just once Wilson would take a ride with him.
12. End: House watches Wilson break down silently at the ATM machine and prays to a God he doesn’t believe in that this wasn’t the breaking point.
13. Fall: “I was worried your wings would melt,” Wilson murmurs, but what he doesn’t say is that he’s ready to catch House if he fell.
14. Fire: Wilson has built his sacrificial pyre long ago; Tritter merely gave him the torch.
15. Flexible: “I may be crippled, but I’m more flexible than you think,” House whispers in Wilson’s ear, and it takes all the willpower in the world to keep from Wilson dragging House off to a utility closet, patients be damned.
16. Flying: House is high as a kite when Wilson finds him, lying on his back in the middle of the living room, trying to fight off his hallucinations.

20. Green: House watches Wilson put on his tie in the morning, green silk contrasting the red marks on his neck, and smiles inwardly.
21. Head: House finds it hard to give into what his heart wants; after all, he’s from the school of mind over matter.
22. Hollow: Without Wilson, House turns into a ghost of himself, a hollow shell of the man he once was.
23. Honor: “Would you protect my honor?” House grins mischievously, to which Wilson replies, “What honor?”
24. Hope: Cameron’s hopes are completely dashed when she sees House and Wilson on the balcony, kissing as if no one could see them.
25. Light: Wilson hopes, in vain, that House will see the light and change, but all he can do is watch his best friend destroy himself.

29. Old: “Promise me we’ll grow old together,” Wilson whispers to House’s sleeping form.
30. Peace: When House is with Wilson, he can sometimes feel at peace with the world.
31. Poison: “What’s your poison?” Wilson asks as he grabs himself a beer, but he already knows that it won’t be the drink that will kill House.
32. Pretty: Wilson lies disheveled in House’s bed, his dark hair contrasting against the white of his sheets and House thinks he’s the most beautiful thing in the world.
33. Rain: House tries and fails to convince himself that this storm too shall pass.
34. Regret: “No regrets,” House decides, when he finally comes clean to Wilson about how he really feels.
35. Roses: Wilson can pinpoint the moment in his relationship with House when his rose-tinged glasses broke.

39. Solid: Wilson is like House’s cane, sturdy, supportive, and always around.
40. Spring: Wilson can only wait until House thaws and welcomes him back again.
41. Stable: House has always been a little off kilter, but when Wilson refuses to speak to him, he begins to lose all control.
42. Strange: Wilson quickly adjusts to House’s sharp angles and finds it strange that they feel far better under his touch than Julie’s soft curves.
43. Summer: “My air conditioning broke,” Wilson explains when he shows up on House’s doorstep, as if he hasn’t used the excuse at least once a year.
44. Taboo: House is always saying and doing things that go against what is considered “ok” by society, but he still has trouble accepting that he might be gay.
45. Ugly: Wilson always knew there was an ugly side to House, a lying, selfish, cruel side, but he never thought that he’d be on the wrong side of it.
46. War: Tritter has started up a war and after that battle with Wilson; House doesn’t think that anyone is fighting on his side anymore.
47. Water: House watches the sky open up and decides that Wilson deserves to drown, alone in the bus shelter.
