#1. Motion
The younger of the brothers pretended that he didn’t know what set the scandal into motion, but he couldn’t pretend that it wasn’t his fault.
#2. Cool
Ryoma could hardly believe that this man had once been his mischievous brother, because the Ryoga he had known had never glanced at him with such cool, uncaring eyes.
#3. Young
Ryoma glared at his brother as he served the ball, aiming to strike Ryoga’s face, causing the older boy to duck, growling, “Geez, Someone as young as you should be sweeter.”
#4. Last
Ryoga glanced down smugly at his brooding brother, sneering, “Remember Chibi-suke; when I’m around, you will always come in last.”
#5. Wrong
Ryoga knew that what they did was wrong, but he decided to keep it from Chibi-suke mostly because then the little imp couldn’t protest and run off on him.
#6. Gentle
Ryoma couldn’t remember the last time his adopted brother had been gentle with him, in fact he couldn’t remember the ‘with him’ part at all.
#7. One
Ryoma wished he had been the only one to experience Ryoga’s heart breaking charm only because he knew that there had been others.
#8. Thousand
When Ryoga promised he would buy Ryoma a thousand red roses for Valentines Day Ryoma snorted and said he hated flowers, therefore his older brother gave up trying to buy Ryoma a thousand anything.
#9. King
When he had been younger, Ryoga had believed that he was the king of everything, but now he could see he was king of nothing and no one.
#10. Learn
Ryoga brushed his lips over Ryoma’s harshly, saying, “I wish I could learn how to hate you.”
#11. Blur
After Ryoga had pushed him onto the bed and straddled his small hips, everything became a blur of passion.
#12. Wait
The art of waiting didn’t come easy, but it was, of course, an art that Ryoga needed to learn if he wanted to overcome Ryoma’s resistance.
#13. Change
After their heated match on the ship the brothers shook hands, Ryoma whispering, “You aren’t the person I once knew,” and Ryoga replied, “I didn’t change.”
#14. Command
Ryoma gasped out in pain as Ryoga shoved him against the wall saying, “I can command you to do anything I wish.”
#15. Hold
Ryoma turned away from the older boy, saying softly, “You hold me back from everything I want to achieve.”
#16. Need
With his arms around the shorter boy’s waist, Ryoga purred huskily into his brother’s ear, saying, “I want you to need me.”
#17. Vision
Ryoma’s vision blurred with angry tears as he relived the failure of his past at his brothers unfeeling hands.
#18. Attention
When Ryoma discovered that he couldn’t get his brother’s attention through normal methods, he decided to give up all together.
#19. Soul
Ryoma believed that everyone had a soul, everyone except Ryoga of course because something that snarky couldn’t possibly have a soul or anything special like that.
#20. Picture
Lying on the table, covered in dust, was a picture of the two black haired boys with their arms around each other and huge smiles on their faces.
#21. Fool
Nanjirou watched how his adopted son stared at Ryoma and muttered to himself seriously, “You’re a fool Echizen Ryoga.”
#22.Mad
Ryoma snarled at his brother angrily, “You drive me mad” only to have Ryoga reply with a soft laugh and a jibe, “Chibi-suke, I’m crazy about you too.”
#23. Child
Ryoga pushed Ryoma to the floor, pinning his hands on either side of his head, growling, “I think you need to stop acting like such a child Chibi-suke.”
#24. Now
Ryoga pushed Ryoma against the wall, body pressed against body, and snarled, “When I say now, I mean I want it now.”
#25. Shadow
Ryoma lay back on his bed and flung his arm over his eyes murmuring, “I hate being hidden in your shadow.”
#26. Goodbye
“I never wanted to say goodbye to you Ryoma,” the older boy whispered as he paused at the doorway, glancing back over his shoulder into the dark room where his brother slept peacefully.
#27. Hide
In the Echizen household, hiding was a word taken lightly, because to hide was to be a coward, and the Echizen’s were not cowards and were expected to face their fears with arms wide open.
#28. Fortune
Ryoga decided that his good fortune concerning Ryoma had run out quite some time ago.
#29. Safe
Ryoma stepped away from Ryoga’s open arms murmuring, “I don’t feel safe around you anymore.”
#30. Ghost
Ryoma decided that his reflection reminded him of his brother, but just a paler version, a ghost of what Ryoga really was.
#31. Book
When Ryoga said, “Awww, Chibi-suke is reading a book; is it porn?” he was promptly attacked by his little brother’s tennis racquet.
#32. Eye
Ryoga glanced at his baby brother from the corner of his eye and smirked; the kid was as adorable as he had been when he was younger.
#33. Never
Ryoga leaned over and kissed his brother’s cheek wetly with a loud smack saying, “Never leave me, got that Chibi-suke?”
#34. Sing
Ryoma walked into his brothers room and asked him in a shocked voice, “I didn’t know you could sing” and Ryoga only laughed and pointed at the cd player beside him saying, “I can’t, I just lip sync!”
#35. Sudden
The sudden warmth that was Ryoga brought a peace of mind to the younger boy who had been shaking with silent tears.
#36. Stop
Ryoma didn’t know how stop himself from crying, not when it was all inside his head.
#37. Time
There wasn’t enough time to heal the scars that they shared between the both of them but they could at least try to slow down their misery before it had time to take a deep enough root in their hearts.
#38. Wash
Ryoga glared down at his bleeding brother and began to walk away, saying in a cold voice, “go wash that off, it’s disgusting”, and Ryoma hung his head in shame, wishing to hide his nakedness.
#39. Torn
Although Ryoga felt torn between his brother and his duty, he couldn’t help but forsake everything for Ryoma.
#40. History
They had history together, no matter how faded and far into the past it was, history was history and it was theirs.
#41. Power
Ryoga stroked back the black hair that lay across his brothers’ eyes, smirking, loving the power he held over the smaller boy; he could almost taste a bitter surrender.
#42. Bother
That night, when Ryoma was sure his brother was asleep, he tip toed toward the bed silently, ready to climb in next to his brother when one of Ryoga’s dark brown eyes popped open, his bored voice announcing, “Don’t bother, you have nothing I want.”
#43. God
Ryoma knew that his brother thought little of him, oh yes he knew how his brother had always looked down on him, and while he thought about it Ryoma pulled his baseball cap down low over his eyes and muttered, “But you’re not God Ryoga.”
#44. Wall
Sometimes there were days that Ryoma felt as though there was an invisible wall between him and his brother, one he wanted to breach if only Ryoga would let him.
#45. Naked
It wasn’t like he hadn’t seen his brother naked before, but this time it was very different - for both of them.
#46. Drive
Ryoma no longer had the drive, nor the will, to be better than his brother because it was already obvious nothing could change.
#47. Harm
As Ryoma lay in his arms motionlessly, Ryoga whispered softly into his ear, “I never promised that no harm would come to you.”
#48. Precious
Ryoga realized that everything he had been searching for his whole life was the precious thing he called his little brother, because without Ryoma he was empty.
#49. Hunger
Ryoma began to notice a strange glint in his brother’s eyes and decided that it was a hunger, a thirst for something more, a something Ryoma knew he couldn’t give.
#50. Believe
Ryoga stared into Ryoma’s eyes sadly, whispering “Why is it so hard for you to believe in me?”
