# 01 - Comfort
There is something incredibly comforting with the way Clair’s long arms encircle her girlfriend’s slim waist, breathing in her lover’s scent of her hair, her skin, her clothes, and even the dusky smell of the long rough battles of blood that Nel carried around her.
# 02 - Kiss
The first time Nel and Clair kissed, the kiss itself was innocent and slow, conveying such shyness and reluctance, since neither didn’t know how to act on her own feelings; later on, the kisses became wild and passionate, full of love and lust, releasing all the tension that was building between them.
# 3 - Soft
Clair’s body is so soft against Nel’s; not soft like silk or velvet or anything like that-something close rather, and Nel revels in that experience.
# 4 - Pain
She tries not to cry; it would cost her reputation as a commander to do so, but all she could feel is pain, the pain of Nel leaving her behind, without knowing when Nel is coming back, but that’s to be expected wasn’t it, since Nel was the Aquarian spy after all.

Nel starts to explain how fries and potatoes are related to Clair, who just shakes her head and puts a French fry - as Fayt calls it - in Nel’s mouth, and that immediately shuts Nel up.

At last they finally have a break from their tiresome missions and in one afternoon, the sky darkens and everyone goes inside; Nel and Clair take this to their advantage and go out, smiling and laughing and dancing and kissing as the rain begins to fall onto them, soaking them.
#7 - Chocolate
Nel slowly puts a small piece of chocolate in Clair’s mouth, smiling as she does; Clair nibbles on her index finger, mirroring that smile-and it is clear that they don’t do this often; but at least it is fun for them.
#8 - Happiness
She is happy to see Nel again, not happy as a friend, or a parent, or a sister, but more as a lover, because she worries for Nel a lot, and right now, she is so happy that she pulls Nel into a rather possessive hug, refusing to let her best friend go.
#9 - Telephone
Apparently, telephone is quite new in Aquaria, but Nel is making a use of it and calls Clair whenever she feels like it; Clair would answer her calls immediately, because she is eager to know what has happened to her best friend.

Being a spy, Nel is all ears; she is trained to be like this, listening, always listening and sneaking and stealing - if that is required - and she also uses those cunning traits of hers to protect her commander, because one never knows when the enemy will strike-better safe than sorry.

Clair is such a wonderful name-at least that’s what Nel thought, because her name sounds like a boy’s name; other people have mistaken her name for a boy’s if they do not meet her face-to-face, but Clair disagrees and tells her that her name is unique, considering that it resembles Nel’s father’s name….
# 12 - Sensual
There is something incredibly sensual with the way Nel shakes her hips, and Clair couldn’t help but watch, eyes entranced.
# 13 - Death
Many times, Nel is so close to death that she can almost feel it take over her and make her numb, but her lover always comes for her and she is thrust out of the darkness once again; how long will Clair hold her status as Nel’s savior?
# 14 - Sex
Nel and Clair feel uncomfortable talking about sex; it is something they don’t have much experience of; even so, that doesn’t stop them from thinking about it, and they both know for sure they are bound to try it soon-and with it each other, of course.

Their fingers touch and something akin to electricity surges between the two; is it lust or love or something else that is expressed there?
# 16 - Weakness
Being a woman alone in their world, is already a sign of weakness, so Nel always toughens herself up, sometimes even acting like a man, but she realizes that even if she does act like a man, she always has a weakness, and that is her Clair, but that’s ok, because she realizes that love is not weakness; love makes her stronger.

Clair reads these romance books and it is always the feminine character that cries; she finds it amusing, sometimes even ridiculous, because she herself hasn’t cried in a while; this applies to Nel also; they both don’t remember the last time they really shed their tears; they don’t have the luxury to cry anymore.
# 18 - Speed
If one compares Nel and Clair for speed, the same person would have to say that Nel is faster with her long legs and slim body, but Nel would refuse and Clair would laugh; it is such a silly question.
# 19 - Wind
Clair lets her hair down and unties her braids, showing her lover the real length of her hair, and Nel has to admit, her hair is thick and long; she figures that every time the wind passes through Clair’s hair, it makes her hair messy; Nel is glad that she has short hair, which then makes Clair pout.

They both cry in joy that the queen accepted their relationship, but Nel, being the more suspicious of the two, wonders why, and she realizes that the queen herself is bisexual, which then should…explain…why they have the freedom to love anyone, regardless of gender…

Without Clair, Nel doesn’t have a life, or that’s what she believes anyway, and Clair told her one time that if something bad happens to her, she wants Nel to move on, but now that Clair has passed away, what is Nel to do with her life?
# 22 - Jealousy
Nel is someone who doesn’t get jealous easily, regarding lovers of course, but then when she finally has Clair, she can now see why she would be jealous of anyone coming near her, she wants Clair for herself-not to possess her or control her-in more ways than one, and that is so hard to admit of her.

Nel puts her hand on top of Clair’s after a moment of making love, and Nel smiles as the size of her hand fits Clair’s; it is such a sweet moment of peace.

Clair…does not taste like the glittery moon, or the freshness of air, or the sweet fragrance of the summer’s sun; she is herself; her own individual taste, just the way Nel likes it.

Ever since they were children they devoted themselves to each other selflessly, without them really knowing, because they both knew they care for each other, and they both knew they could trust each other-they wouldn’t even be surprised if they end up falling in love because they finally found the person they were both looking for their whole lives.

Forever seems like a long time for Nel and Clair, but that doesn’t mean they don’t want to break up or separate from each other, lovers or not, friends or not, because they have duties to attend, and they have to live up to their honor, because that’s what they value in their kingdom of Aquaria.

The long battles Nel has fought sometimes causes her to have scars that can’t be healed away, and every time she has nightmares, she feels as though those scars are bleeding, and Clair can’t really see them because they’re invisible scars-some things one cannot easily erase.

Nel doesn’t get sick easily, but when she does, sickness hits her hard and rough, dragging her into bed and causing her to take a break from her work, but that is ok, because Clair is there to make her some soup and pamper over her; Nel secretly likes the attention she is getting.

Long ago, there used to be a song-a melody-that the armies of Aquaria sing to hype them up, before going into battle, and so, even now, when Nel and Clair face the new enemies together, they still hum that melody in their head, letting it calm them.

When Clair saw the starless sky, she wonders what has happened to it, and where Nel was, because her partner wasn’t here; she wished Nel was really here, so when the stars come back, they can watch it together.
# 31 - Home
“There is no place like home, there is no place like home,” Clair sings merrily, and she takes another sip of her bottle of beer, twirling and laughing so much like a drunk-then again, she is a drunk, and Nel laughs at her commander’s awkward situation; she should have never given Clair that bottle.
# 32 - Confusion
Even though Clair knows Nel ever since they were kids, she finds Nel confusing to understand, because sometimes, Nel contradicts herself; for example, she said to Fayt and Cliff that they had to move on, despite the fact that Farleen and Tynave were left behind in one of the missions she was assigned to, but then a day later, Nel talked to Clair about rescuing them from the Airyglyph soldiers…
# 33 - Fear
Nel knows what fear is; it is the fear of knowing your subordinates are captured by the enemy; it is the notion that Clair is endangered by the same enemy; it is Albel Nox standing next to her like an omen, as though he is tempting her to strike him down…
# 34 - Lightning/Thunder
Lightning strikes outside, and Nel snuggles with her childhood friend, Clair; they are two innocent children hiding in one of the village’s houses, because it is raining hard outside, and there is thunder there as well.
# 35 - Bonds
The bond that Nel shares with Clair is stronger than the other bonds she shares with anybody else; Nel figures that it could be love and trust and devotion that binds her to Clair, and she knows that Clair is happy with that too.
# 36 - Market
For once, Clair wanted to buy something from the Market; she wanted to replace the dreaded army clothing that Nel wore all the time, and true, she also wore the same uniform, but she was getting tired of it, so there she was, dragging Nel outside whilst Nel protested weakly.
# 37 - Technology
The technology that the Aquarians have, Nel and Clair knew, were far more advanced than the Airyglyph’s, and with their new weapon, they knew they would gain victory.
# 38 - Gift
Nel shows a “gift” to Clair on Clair’s birthday; she presses against her lover and finally mutters, “I love you.”
# 39 - Smile
Nel loves her girlfriend’s smile; it is carefree-even innocent- and bright; Nel will do anything in her power to make Clair smile like that again; it really makes her day.
# 40 - Innocence
One time, Nel and Clair talked to each other about innocence, and they defined what it was: it is something so pure, so fragile, like their untold love for each other.

Completion, complete, finished-their mission is finally done and they can finally get that vacation they both secretly wanted.

“The sky is cloudy today,” Clair says and I too notice the darkness of the sky; I wonder if it is an omen to see the clouds gather around the bright sun?

Clair sometimes wishes she could fly like the air dragons of their enemy, so she can touch the sky and be with Nel; there no one could reach them; there, no one could condemn them, and it is a nice fantasy, one that will not come true.

The gods and goddesses live in Heaven; the demons and the devil live in Hell; Nel and Clair live on their own planet, and as long as they have each other, that’s all it matters to them.
# 45 - Hell
When Nel almost lost Clair in that battle with their enemy, she could have sworn she was in Hell.

Clair is the sun and Nel is the moon; both cannot make tonight and daylight without out each other.

The moon rises into the sky and the couple notices it; they notice its eerie glow of silver, its large shape, but most of all, they notice how the moonlight spills across the lake of their village, and Nel and Clair whisper to each other about how beautiful it is…

Nel’s anger radiates like waves, and Clair finds herself fascinated; she figures that Nel isn’t easily insulted, but once you push the right buttons, Nel bursts out; even so, Clair knows how to calm her down, and this time, like the waves of the ocean.

Nel combs her friend’s long, light purple hair, enjoying the softness of it, and she knows with the small sighs of bliss Clair is emitting, Clair is enjoying the pampering too.

When Nel releases her power, it rises up into the air and explodes, like a supernova, and Clair has to hide away, so she won't get hurt.
