1. Motion
He was no stranger to guilt; sometimes, he thought he would suffocate, so much it oppressed him… but then, he would remember that she had made the first step.
2. Cool
Arthur could never pretend that he forgot about their age gap - not when his lover, prone as she was to weird enthusiasms, used the same vocabulary as his children.
3. Young
She had asked him frankly once what made him so reluctant to a relationship with her, and when he had pointed out their ages, she had immediately glamoured herself into a glorious eighty year old, coquettishly pointing out that made him the youngest in their relationship.
4. Last
He didn't know how long this relationship would last, but the thing Arthur knew was that Luna would be the last woman to find her way into his heart.
5. Wrong
As loudly as some voices had protested about the wrongness of their relationship, Arthur could only think of one thing - after the war, the pain, and the losses, this woman had the power to make him smile again.
6. Gentle
Was it because he was old-fashioned? Was it because he was afraid he might hurt her? Luna didn't know, but could only marvel at Arthur gentleness at all times.
7. One
One day, visiting Ginny, Luna had found Arthur lost in grim thoughts and recollections of the past - he had seemed so lonely.
8. Thousand
It wasn't the great protestations of love that made Arthur accept that she did care for him; it was the way she managed to have thousands of little gestures for him during the day.
9. King
Short of breath, she let her head fall on her lover's chest, and mumbled contentedly Weasley, you're my King.
10. Learn
War had taught Luna about pain and losses; yet, it hadn't been able to quell the blond woman's capacity for love.
11. Blur
Ginny takes her father's arm, and whispers to him: 'Dad, it's a girl, I have a sister at last!' - then, his vision blurs, and Arthur knows no more.
12. Wait
At first, the boys had expected - not out of animosity, but just because this was so weird - they had expected Luna to leave their father after a few months; but now that she had given them a new sister, no thought of her leaving ever crossed their minds again.
13. Change
Seeing Lizzie playing with Severus and Hermione's daughter, Arthur thought to himself that even the most improbable things could happen.
14. Command
Molly had had a way to direct him, and to get him to do what she expected, by a frown or a stern glance, but Luna... Luna got the same result by her smiles.
15. Hold
To his astonishment, the first time Ginny had seen them holding hands, she hadn't made any comment, but simply smiled, and bid them good night.
16. Need
Dad, I can understand that you need a woman's company, but couldn't you choose someone your age? - those were the last words Charlie had spoken to him, months ago.
17. Vision
With age, his vision was diminishing, but he could always spot Luna from afar, so distinctive was her walk.
18. Attention
The only thing keeping the Prophet's chief gossiper from paying too much attention to their relationship was the idea that it would mean giving publicity the Quibbler's redactor.
19. Soul
Luna proudly put the last dot on her paper about a vampire with a soul - a story that Arthur had told her about after hearing about it in his Muggle Tevelision.
20. Picture
At first, Molly's picture had been frowning at him, obviously surprised and pained to see another woman at his side; but lately, she had started to smile and wave again, and it really meant much to him.
21. Fool
"...And that's why the most important card is the fool, of course," she concluded, smiling; Arthur smiled too: playing cards with Luna was never dull.
22. Mad
Maybe it was mad, but now that Luna had asked him about it, he couldn't help wondering what their children would look like.
23. Child
Sitting on Arthur's lap, Luna whispered in his ear: "So, lover boy, would you like to be a daddy again?"
24. Now
Arthur knew that it wouldn't last, that some day, next week, next year, she would leave him, and settle with some other man, someone her age - but he wanted to enjoy each of their moments.
25. Shadow
Luna knew that Charlie's estrangement with his father still cast a shadow on Arthur's mind; that's why she tried to write to the dragon-keeper, on a regular basis.
26. Goodbye
One thing he had forgotten was how hard it was to have your child leaving for Hogwarts - and find the Burrow eerily silent when you came back from home.
27. Hide
His instinct, at first, had been to keep their relationship secret; but his young lover, as keen as she was on conspiracies, had shaken her blond head, and refused to hide for a single day.
28. Fortune
Arthur smiled when he entered the Burrow, hiding behind his back a bag of Luna's favourite Muggle treat: Chinese Fortune Cookies.
29. Safe
Luna didn't trust his new flying car much more than Molly had his Ford Anglia, in spite of all his protestations of safety.
30. Ghost
He didn't need a ghost to remember his late wife; he only had to look at one of their children.
31. Book
Clutching at the contract in her hand, Luna jumped in Arthur's arms as soon as he got home - her book was going to be published!
32. Eye
Arthur smiled fondly to baby Lizzie - she already had her mother's big dreamy eyes.
33. Never
It was during Lizzie's first year at Hogwarts that Arthur started to think that maybe, only maybe, Luna would not leave him, finally.
34. Sing
The youngest generation of Weasleys - Arthur's grandsons and granddaughters, and little Lizzie - have prepared a 'concert' for the adults; never mind if they sing off-key, everybody is under the charm.
35. Sudden
Luna suddenly grabs Arthur's hand, and puts it on her stomach when the baby moves; and once again, Arthur can't help marvelling at this miracle.
36. Stop
And then she had sat on his lap, and put her arms around his neck, and her cheek against his, and she had breathed softly, and turned her head towards him, and kissed him lightly, and he hadn't stopped her - maybe he should have, but he hadn't stopped her.
37. Time
Time has dulled the pain, but neither Arthur nor Luna forgot that Molly and Ron Weasley had given their lives for the Light to win the War.
38. Wash
George never told Luna where he had taken the children to, but neither did he protest when she told him that he would be giving them a bath.
39. Torn
Little Lizzie reads one of her Dad's book, when she accidentally tears a page; frantically, she smoothes it, whispering 'Reparo', as she has seen her mother do once, and the page knits itself back on - magic!
40. History
Aunt Hermione - she doesn't know why she is 'Aunt Hermione', since she has married Uncle Severus, and not one of her brothers, but anyway - Aunt Hermione gives her a heavy book for her tenth birthday, telling that she had the same when she was her age: Hogwarts, a History.
41. Power
As the only girl of the family, Ginny had always had a special power over her brothers, so when she showed her support to her father's new relationship, most of them followed suit.
42. Bother
What bothered Luna sometimes, was that she had no one to discuss her relationship with - she couldn't talk about anything intimate between herself and Arthur to Ginny, and if Hermione could relate to the 'I'm with an older wizard' complaints, she wasn't really that good at 'woman talk'.
43. God
Some days, Arthur wonders which God he should thank, for having had two loving women in his life, when some people never find one.
44. Wall
After the war, the boys had bought a family portrait, to be hanged on a wall of the living room at the Burrow; after Lizzie's birth, they had taken it back to the painter, so that Luna and the baby could be added.
45. Naked
Arthur was as fond of Luna's naked body as he was shy of his; but somehow, she managed to quell his doubts.
46. Drive
Arthur had pretended otherwise for a few minutes, but the truth was that he had no idea of how to drive a Muggle car the normal way.
47. Harm
It was so easy, when he had his pregnant lover in his arms, to believe that no harm could ever touch them.
48. Precious
On her mother's knees, Lizzie looks at Daddy's treasure, the photo album of his wedding with Molly.
49. Hunger
When she had realised how much the Weasley brothers ate for a single lunch, Luna had been prompt to ask for help in the kitchen - and for a House Elf as soon as possible.
50. Believe
Arthur can't believe his eyes when he sees that it is Charlie who Apparates a few yards away from the front door - Charlie at last!
