Fandom: Smallville
Couple: Oliver ‘Ollie” Queen x Clark Kent
Rating: PG-13
Theme: Gamma
Ring:
Oliver hadn’t considered giving a ring to Lois before leaving, not when he thought of Clark Kent.
Hero:
“You are the hero of this town, Clark,” brusquely speaking, Oliver raised a shot glass facing his competition; whilst, Clark merely shifted eyes away, mutely acknowledging those words.
Memory:
There was that first time, not long ago, Clark had seen Oliver naked in the showers.
Bow:
Clark couldn’t help but wonder, looking up - as he lay in languid bliss, of the history behind the distinctive ornate bow hanging on the wall above Ollie’s grand bed.
Run
They worked together, at least more often than they should have, chasing after meteor freaks and criminals too dubious for the Police Department.
Hurricane
It happened during one of those crazy nights, when a tempest had been announced: their first kiss under the storm and wet air.
Wings
Oliver envied Clark his powers, and wished he had them; and, despite the bitter covet it provoked, he loved Clark’s arms around him, not at all as he expected, - like the embrace of gentle power.
Cold
Smallville was uncommonly chilled, and the two sat there in Kent’s barn, very close.
Red
Oliver owned a red car, hell - he owned a lot of classy cars, though he couldn’t impress Clark with any of these features.
Drink
Clark wasn’t much of a drinker, that much was true - but Oliver figured they’d wind down after bagging a couple of Luthor's experiments.
Midnight
Under the waxing moon, and on the rooftops of the Daily Planet, Oliver patiently waited; the masked eyes scanned the city streets below and found irritation spreading when Clark hadn’t shown up.
Temptation
It was extremely hard for Clark to understand their attraction, and to why he felt this way about Oliver, especially when he had loved Lana for so long.
View
“It’s got a view where I’m going.” He remarked casually, watching Clark’s sensitive eyes glaze over with concern, egging him to comment, “You’re welcome to visit anytime…”
Music
Sometimes the music surrounding the bedroom is loud, and sometimes, there is quiet after sex.
Silk
Oliver showed him a bathrobe made of silk, tried to offer it to Clark after their shower, and the farm boy in Kent declined.
Cover
“Hey, Clark, do you think Lois knows about us?” Oliver asked one night, his hands behind his head, his lover close and the question forgotten.
Promise
“Alright, let’s try this again.” Clark reminded Ollie, “If you’re right, and Lex is behind all this, then I owe you, no, I promise…”
Dream
Even Chloe was prone to suspicion when she had dreamt of Oliver and Clark together, only to find the two looking like distant friends the next day that she furrowed her brows at the absurd allusion.
Candle
“You’re not the type of guy that goes out of his way to impress women, like Lex does,” Chloe said plainly, ignoring Clark's warning look, “Now, Oliver’s somewhat like Lex…I can see him with candles, roses, champagne, the works..”
Talent
“Damn, you’re good…” Ollie breathed, his hands pulling Clark’s body close, and despite the severely trite words, he had to say it: “I wouldn’t have figured you’d have this kind of dexterity.”
Silence
Staring out into the ocean, Oliver plucked his jacket around him; a morose expression on his face, and Clark’s presence by his side brought a soundless pleasure - without words - without touching.
Journey
Their journey would have taken days, if not for Clark’s suggestion that he fly them there.
Fire
Under the building of one of the Luthor’s corporation, in a carport where a man looked suspiciously like he was infected with meteorite jumped inside, a powerful explosion went off, stopping both Clark and Oliver from diving in.
Strength
It was amazing, this kind of strength Clark Kent had - Oliver was almost glad for the kryptonite’s existence: there was always something that kept such power in check.
Mask
It irritated Oliver that Clark couldn’t get over Lana, and he masked that frustration; though, he hadn’t been as observant as he should have been: he found that Lana’s love had moved on to higher expectations.
Ice
They had just heard about the news, where unusual events - commonplace in Smallville - of ice crystallizing along roads, blocking exits, entrances, “There’s ice on the roads, Clark, you should be careful.” Oliver warned as he watched Clark step into the truck, and there, a moment, Clark wanted to stay.
Fall
Falling hard for someone happened for Clark when he had met Lana, and certainly not with a Billionaire; yet, he couldn’t place what it was about the Green Arrow that piqued his hyper senses.
Forgotten
“Aw shit, I completely forgot,” the Billionaire didn’t forget, secretly keeping Clark there just a little longer.
Dance
“So do you dance in that?” Oliver motioned his chin at Clark’s Super boy suit.
Body
“All the body counts in Smallville and you got to wonder if the F.B.I doesn’t keep tabs on this place,” Oliver said, heavy curious at the way Clark’s presence kept mysterious things capped.
Sacred
They were talking about powers, and first times, so he asked, enjoying the intimate rapport, “Do you think you’d ever get over your first love?” Oliver bit his lip, shaking his head at the stupid question.
Farewells
“He left, Clark, and he didn’t even stay around to…” She halted, her voice catching, and all he could do was watch Lois’s eyes strain from painful tears.
World
“Sometimes the world is not worth it,” Queen said, his voice a little bitter; but then he remembered that Clark does not possess such angst, even for a moment.
Formal
There was some kind of party that Oliver threw and Lois was there; and so was everyone else that everyone knew, except for Lex, and Clark felt out of place, without anything formal to wear.
Fever
He shouted in the dark, where Ollie fell - many depths down some kind of abandoned well, and Clark could use his ears and eyes to find him - felt the feverish clammy stir hit his chest when Queen’s presence couldn’t be found.
Laugh
Clark didn’t feel like laughing later when Oliver had been safe all along; the Green Arrow's hand slapped the man of steel on his back, amused, holding tools only a professional climber could possess.
Lies
It’s all lies, Ollie told Clark, waving a hand away when he was confronted with questions about loving Lois as much as he loved the secrecy between their odd liaison.
Forever
“It’s not like you’ll be gone forever,” He lamented softly, watched with a kind of painful poignancy as the Green Arrow packed up the things he needed most.
Overwhelmed
Lois always looked overwhelmed, overwrought, and slightly flushed when she was in Oliver’s company, making Clark bristle.
Whisper
“She was everything to me,” Clark confessed, his lips pressed against hot skin, “But she’s not here, and you are,” and Oliver merely smirked, voice low: “That’s alright; it’s not like you and I are a couple.”
Wait
“Do you think she’ll wait for me?” Ollie asked; the question confused Clark, and one had to wonder if the Billionaire loved the notion of being with both.
Talk
“I don’t like to chat all that much, Clark.” Oliver drawled, taking the super-hero uniform off and dying for a cold shower, “I thought you didn’t either.”
Search
When he woke to search for him in the morning, Clark’s already back to his farm.
Hope
“You know, with you forming the Justice league,” Clark’s eyes, downcast at first, glancing at the men around Ollie, “You’re going to give the people hope,” and the sound of Oliver’s bark of laughter startled him.
Eclipse
He liked to be on top, generally, because of control, over the man of steel.
Gravity
When they fought side by side, it was difficult for Ollie to find leverage without the use of the expensive tools he had invented, and seeing Clark defy gravity was another matter altogether.
Highway
He drove down the road like any other youth in his late father’s truck, taking a detour to Oliver’s posh neighborhood, anticipation brought hands gripping a tad tighter on the wheel.
Unknown
“I don’t know when I’ll be back,” He shrugged, “Why? You miss me already?” but then he got a scoffing noise from Clark, indicating he wouldn’t - though his eyes expressed contradiction.
Lock
“Don’t you ever lock your room?” Clark walked inside, scanning the bed that filled much of the room; he heard the turn of knob, and a click.
Breathe
He almost forgot to exhale when the Green Arrow's fist caught him in the gut, their little exercise a practiced diversion before anything else.
