When he watches her and Roxas argue over nothing, he smiles and wonders what it was like when he was young.

She begs him to stay for just one last song.

She says that what they're doing is wrong; he asks why she can't stand the thought of finally having a heart.

She watches him play his sitar, smiling at how gentle he can be.

"Only one," he says, handing her a piece of chocolate, but he ends up giving her the entire box later.

She asks if a thousand hearts is enough, and he doesn't have an answer.

She emerges from the water coughing, her vision blurred, and says she doesn't think learning to swim is such a good idea.

Neither of them liked attention; maybe that's why they spent so much time together.

He asks why she thinks he of all people has a soul, and she says, "Because it's in your music."

She draws a picture of him sitting in her windowsill, but hides it when he comes over to see what she's been doing for the past hour.

Roxas is storming through the castle with Axel on his heels, and they hope for the sake of their peace that the redhead doesn't do something foolish.

She had never seen him lose his temper until Larxene tore one of her pictures in half.

When he first saw her, he thought she was a child, but she was much, much more.

Now when she's back on the island with Sora and Riku, she feels like one of her friends is still missing.

She asks him why his water clones don't have shadows, and he asks why she has to be so curious.

Diz brings her back to Kairi before she can say goodbye to one of her only friends.

He hides in her room after dousing Axel's room in water, and they stifle their giggles as Axel storms past with a growl.

He brings a fortune cookie to her because it seems like something she would appreciate too.

When there's a storm, she curls up at his side where she feels safe.

He was summoning water clones when he heard her scream that she'd seen his ghost wandering the halls.

Zexion is giving him the darkest look he has ever seen for losing the book he borrowed, but she skips into the library and hands it to him with a smile; he wonders what he would do without her.

"Your eyes are the color of the ocean," he muses, "They make me feel at home."

When he notices that she never comes down for dinner with the others, he brings her a plate, and from there it becomes routine.

"A beautiful girl has to have a beautiful voice," he says, and eventually she gives in and sings to his music for him.

And suddenly, she kissed him on the cheek, giggling when he blushed and looked back down at his instrument.

"Don't stop," he says softly, and he lifts her fingers back onto the sitar so that she'll play again.

The time they spent together was quiet; that was the way they liked it.

He grumbles and washes the marker from his face, making a note to never fall asleep in her room again.

She cries when she finds that someone has torn her pictures apart, but he wipes the tears away and says that nothing can't be fixed.

He slips away from his history lesson with Vexen and says he'd prefer she tell him a story instead.

He never figured out just what she could do until he asked for one too many favors.

His music bothers the others, but she thinks it's beautiful.

She stops believing in God when he doesn't come back one night, but when he's sitting on the edge of her bed in the morning, she smiles and admits that she was wrong.

"You should paint this room," he says, running a hand over the wall, "it's far too bland for such a colorful girl."

They never have to pretend for each other; she has never felt the need to conceal herself from him.

When he returns from a mission with the intent to learn to drive, she rolls her eyes and says it would be best for the world if he didn't.

She knocks him over when he returns from the Underworld, and as he runs a hand through her hair, he knows that she meant no harm.

She's precious to him, but he never has to tell her; she already knows.

He brings her a box of sweets because she has to get hungry with all that drawing.

He believes that she and Roxas will have their happy ending, and he's fine with that.
