#01 - Ring

When Joey proposes (kind of, sort of, we don’t actually have to get married or anything), it’s with a ring as gaudy as his bracelet; Chandler smirks, “If I were black, I’d look like Don King,” but puts it on, anyway.

#02 - Hero

Even though Ross said they would stand their ground and they don’t need anyone else to stick up for them, Chandler happily drags Joey to the coffee house to protect him from the bullies (“Just don‘t tell Ross,” he says with a sip of a cappuccino, grinning at Joey, “He‘ll beat me up.”)

#03 - Memory

Maybe it’s because they aren’t acting any differently than they had before, besides the fact that there’s now an open invitation to go tumbling down tangled together on the nearest surface, but it’s hard to remember when they were just friends.

#04 - Box
Joey clutches hard at the box, listening to the faint peeps of the chick within, and hoping Chandler will like his Valentine’s present.

#05 - Run

They’re running through the apartment, throwing things and laughing, crashing into walls and flinging pillows around the place-- as they leave, Chandler’s leaning heavily on Joey, breathless from laughter, and saying, “Boy, Monica’s gonna have a fit when she comes home.”

#06 - Hurricane

They still have most of their clothes on, just pants hitched low on their thighs, but lamps and blankets are knocked crazily around the room as they stumble into walls and doorways, so in the end it still looks like a hurricane hit the apartment.

#07 - Wings

After an episode of ‘Gilligan’s Island’, Joey makes himself a pair of wings, stands on the counter and starts flapping his arms-- Chandler watches him, “You do remember what happened to Gilligan after he jumped, right, Joe?”

#08 - Cold

The bed squeaks, Chandler gasps, then yells, “Joey, put some socks on!”

#09 - Red

Chandler’s blood is redder than anything he’s ever seen; “I’m sorry, Chandler, I’m sorry,” Joey’s crying, still, though Chandler’s long since forgiven him.

#10 - Drink

It would be nice to blame it on alcohol, just in case it all goes awry, but they can’t.

#11 - Midnight

It’s after midnight when Joey carefully, quietly, hesitantly, sneaks into Chandler’s room, then all at once breaks the silence and loudly shakes Chandler awake and says, “Chandler, man, I think I’m in love with you.”

#12 - Temptation

Joey doesn’t resist temptation well, so when he gets it in him to kiss Chandler on Valentine’s Day, he does.

#13 - View

Joey doesn’t know quite when his view of Chandler changed from friend to something less innocent, more serious, but whenever he sees Chandler with Janice and his gut aches, he wishes he could change it back.

#14 - Music

They’re on the bed and it starts squeaking beneath them; Chandler grins, “Listen, Joe, they’re playing our song.”

#15 - Silk

Joey giggles, “Chandler, you have silk underwear?”

#16 - Cover

There aren’t any covers to duck under, as they’ve been kicked off the bed, so as Ross calls their names, Joey tries to hide under the pillows instead (Chandler sarcastically says, “Ooh-hoo, he won’t find us here!” but then grabs a pillow for himself).

#17 - Promise

There’s a promise in there, somewhere, between kisses, about only ever watching Baywatch with each other.

#18 - Dream

Joey kicked and squirmed and wiggled uncomfortably like a fiend while they shared a bed until one night Chandler relented and let him sleep without underwear.

#19 - Candle

The power was out, with only the menorah lit between them on the table, they were eating cold spaghetti, and somehow the whole thing was romantic enough to warrant a kiss: “Just like Lady and the Tramp,” Chandler says.

#20 - Talent

They’re having dinner with everyone, and then Joey does this thing with his toes, under the table, that makes Chandler squeak.

#21 - Silence

Joey’s waiting in silence when Chandler comes from the doctor’s office and says, “Well, Monica said I should lose weight; I knew I couldn’t stick to the Atkin’s diet, so I got myself cancer instead,” and though Joey starts crying almost right away, he’ll forever feel guilty for his first reaction being that he wondered whether Chandler was just itching all the cab ride home to say that.

#22 - Journey

They went in the back of the cab to Phoebe’s father’s home -- Phoebe got out and just stood at the base of the steps, looking longingly up at the house-- and after wild touches and wilder kisses, the next time Chandler was pressed up against the wire mesh that separated the driver from the passengers, it wasn’t because Phoebe braked too quickly.

#23 - Fire

It’s a passion that doesn’t always lead to sex; while Chandler’s washing the duck in the bathtub, Joey sneaks up behind him and kisses him on the neck.

#24 - Strength

Joey knows he’s strong--strong enough to carry Chandler over any threshold-- he also knows he’s never going to say this.

#25 - Mask

On Halloween in their apartment, one cowardly lion kisses one tin man; the lion purrs, “Joe, I think we better send Dorothy to her room... Actually, you‘re loud; better make it Kansas.”

#26 - Ice

Joey slips on the ice; Chandler catches him around the waist, then looks away almost embarrassedly as Joey straightens.

#27 - Fall

First, there’s making out in the hallway, next there’s Chandler tipping backwards down the stairs, and lastly there’s Joey and Chandler at Rachel’s door; Chandler looking grumpy and pained and Joey shouting, “Help; I broke Chandler!”

#28 - Forgotten

Joey’s not one for remembering things, so he’s glad he’s known Chandler since forever and that they live together so that for once he doesn’t completely forget the name and phone number of the person he’s dating.

#29 - Dance

Chandler won’t dance with him in public; will straddle him in his bedroom and sometimes bend over the foosball table, but won’t admit a relationship in the open except to get deathly jealous when a girl flirts with him.

#30 - Body

If Joey were to have said what he thought on impulse, it would have been ‘if you had boobs, that’d be awesome’; instead he says, “God, Chandler, I love your body,” which is strangely just as true and won’t lead to him sleeping in the living room for a week.

#31 - Sacred

As time drags on, Joey finds himself almost impossibly loyal to Chandler.

#32 - Farewells

Chandler’s crawling out of the bed, when Joey, seeking warmth, says, “C’mon, man, stay, I’m cold here…” so he stays.

#33 - World

Joey gets in moods where he adores the entire world, will coo and ‘aw’ over every little thing; though Chandler will say things like, ‘Yes, that fire hydrant is certainly enjoying the miracle of that dog’, he secretly enjoys it about as much as Joey.

#34 - Formal

There’s this formal thing of Ross’ that they kind of accidentally-on-purpose forget to take dates to, so it could be said that they went together (though they didn’t).

#35 - Fever

Chandler looks absolutely flushed, and absolutely spectacular, writhing and moaning beneath him.

#36 - Laugh

Joey thinks there’s something special about a guy who can make you laugh hard enough to snort milk out your nose; Chandler jokes that, when they get married, he probably shouldn‘t put that down when he writes his vows.

#37 - Lies

Chandler’s thinking it’s too bad he knows Joey won’t call him, in the morning, thinking it’s too bad that he knows Joey so he can tell himself now that Joey won’t call instead of waiting to tell himself in the morning, before he remembers that they live in the same apartment, so the morning is going to be considerably more awkward tomorrow than the mornings before that had only girls Joey would never see again.

#38 - Forever

As it turns out, forever isn’t long enough to say what you mean, sometimes, and before he knows it, Chandler is swept away in Janice.

#39 - Overwhelmed

He’s always a little overwhelmed, both endeared and annoyed, at how Chandler stutters and glances around nervously when kissed in someplace even remotely public.

#40 - Whisper

Chandler tries to ignore the whispers in his office of his and Joey’s relationship.

#41 - Wait

Chandler isn’t ready, but the truth is Joey thinks he can wait.

#42 - Talk

Having a relationship with Chandler is mostly weird only because they actually talk just about as much as they have sex.

#43 - Search

Chandler always thought it was a stupid saying, how the things you look for are often right under your nose, and then this whole thing with Joey had to go and prove him wrong.

#44 - Hope

When Chandler kisses him after a rather bad breakup with Janice, he pulls himself away because he can't like this, says, “Chandler, c’mon, man, you don’t want this,” and kind of hates to admit how his friend’s sadness gives him hope.

#45 - Eclipse

There’s usually a defining moment when relationships go beyond friendship; it wasn’t when Joey pushed Chandler against a wall and kissed him, but rather when he kissed back.

#46 - Gravity

Considering he’s laughing, there’s a strange amount of gravity that comes with Chandler saying ‘I love you’.

#47 - Highway

Joey bought a unicycle and offered to take Chandler for a ride on it-- Chandler has no idea how this is going to work, but he was too curious to say ‘no’.

#48 - Unknown

Joey pretends to know what he’s doing, but truthfully it’s as new to him as it is to Chandler.

#49 - Lock

They forget to lock the door, which is why Ross sees them tangled together-- Ross promptly turns around and walks out.

#50 - Breathe

Chandler doesn’t use any aftershave, so Joey knows what he breathes in from his bed sheets is the scent of Chandler alone.
