FF7 - Vincent/Cid

Jul 05, 2008 03:37

Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Pairing: Vincent Valentine x Cid Highwind
Theme set: Epsilon
Rating: PG13-R
Warnings: language, char death, and some Chaos/Cid complications, which you know are never good for the Captain...

#01 - Motion
Vincent watched amusedly as nothing could stop his dashing Cid as he ran out of his bedroom, ducked and dove around the living room furniture, slid over and across the dining table, and landed roughly in front of the delivery man before the open door, eager to accept his home-order cigarettes.

#02 - Cool
"Don't laugh Vince," the blond whined as they were flipping through an old photo album, still stuck on a large picture of him with black and blue dyed hair, retro sunglasses, an earring, and a leather jacket with chains, "I was just trying to be stylin', ya know?"

#03 - Young
"For the last fucking time Vince, you're fucking younger than me and if you still don't wanna accept it, I'm gonna give ya a boot to the rear that you won't easily forget."

#04 - Last
As he rolled over to light a cigarette with the gentle hum of the Highwind's engines ever present, Cid wondered how long after waking his bedmate would stay with him.

#05 - Wrong
Even if Chaos was his lover in another shape, Cid still felt dirty when the demon's claws touched him.

#06 - Gentle
Wincing at the warm water against his temple, Cid looked up at Vincent and wondered why he was being so kind when he was the one who'd smacked him upside the head for almost setting the bed on fire by falling asleep smoking.

#07 - One
It was all it took, a single shot fired at the Nibel Wolf's head, and Cid was always impressed though he'd seen it a thousand times.

#08 - Thousand
"Vince wake up, wake up!" Cid screamed as he tried to wake the ex-Turk from yet another nightmare.

#09 - King
"If you were my jester, I'd have you on your knees morning, noon, and night," said the red-eyed man with a smirk as he watched his lunch companion choke on his tea.

#10 - Learn
Cid couldn't stop laughing as Vincent once again lost his balance and ended up throwing the javelin two feet away from Shera who had been doing the laundry but was now screaming like a banshee.

#11 - Blur
Colors blurred like food coloring in water as the ex-turk changed from who he was, to what was trapped inside him, and all Cid could do was be thankful Galian Beast could tell the difference between friend and foe.

#12 - Wait
Vincent wondered what all the secrecy was about, but once he opened his eyes and saw that not only had the living room been decorated from top to bottom, and all his old friends were there, and thus realized that Cid hadn't forgotten his birthday after all.

#13 - Change
Vincent knew there was something different about the pilot tonight, but until he saw him make a toast to the sky and then throw a beer over the side, only then he remembered it was the so called "Victory in Wutai" anniversary day.

#14 - Command
Cid made a loud moan into his gag, thankful beyond words that Vincent was so good at this BDSM kink thing.

#15 - Hold
Vincent didn't know what to do but just be there for his lover while he had his nightmare, feeling those steel cable arms wrapped around him while the blond sobbed in his sleep, from pain or fear he wasn't sure, he just wanted to make it go away.

#16 - Need
Vincent raced through the fields carrying a potion tightly, knowing that every second counted while Cid lay bleeding on the forest floor less than a mile away.

#17 - Vision
"So if you can see in the dark, does that mean you like to peep when I'm changing in the bathroom with the lights off; and if you say no, why the fuck not?"

#18 - Attention
"So you didn't bring the forks, or the napkins, but were paying attention when I asked you to bring the lube?" he asked with a perfectly straight face.

#19 - Soul
He knew his dark lover had a soul despite his claims; how else could someone love a stupid grease monkey like him that still couldn't figure out the difference between 'effect' and 'affect'?

#20 - Picture
Cloud chuckled to himself as he went through his old photo album, realizing now that though Vincent always stood away from the group, he was always closeby to Cid.

#21 - Fool
"So now that you've finished making an ass of yourself, how soon can I expect this 'super engine' gone and the hole in my room to be repaired?"

#22 - Mad
Vincent had his demons in his mind, but sometimes he wondered if they were actually therapeutic when demon-less Cid had a flashback of the war and refused to leave the closet.

#23 - Child
As he spun him around the dance floor, Vincent wondered what kind of upbringing this man had who could repair a plane blindfolded as well as dance a fierce tango.

#24 - Now
Tomorrow they'd go down into that crater, but for now they only thought of recharging for a few minutes before getting back to making love on another table of the empty Highwind.

#25 - Shadow
Vincent felt like crying when Cid mistook his shadow for Chaos', and did do so when the pilot sighed and turned facedown on the bed with a pillow over his head.

#26 - Goodbye
"Cid, I'll be back in three days, and if the house explodes while I'm gone, I'll know you did it out of spite, so get away from the gas heater."

#27 - Hide
Playing hide and seek game with Vincent in the old mansion while drunk was really not the best idea he could have come up with while they waited for the rain to stop so they could fly back home; but at least now Cid could convince himself that the creepy noises were his lover tried to scare him, and not something monstrous just waiting for them to fall asleep.

#28 - Fortune
Flailing like an epileptic rabbit, Cait Sith tried to take back what he'd said, but all Cid could do was laugh at the x-rated paper that came out of the Mog, and Vincent just stood there and blushed.

#29 - Safe
Most members of Avalanche knew how to play baseball, but only Cid knew how to slide into home with enough of a dirt storm to hide his groping hand on the black-haired catcher's crotch.

#30 - Ghost
Vincent rocked Cid for hours that stormy night, assuring him that it was war, he did what he had to, they were dead and gone, and no one was out for vengeance.

#31 - Book
He had absolutely no clue why his lover thought he was dumb when he read engineering journals with more complex hieroglyphics than Ancient writing when drinking his morning tea.

#32 - Eye
"You'll shoot your eye out," the Turk warned as Cid desperately swung around the borrowed Death Penalty, determined to kill that blue jay that just would not let him sleep in.

#33 - Never
"So would you still 'never never EVER' eat cheesecake even if I was covered in it?" were his last words before he was shoved to the floor by a very imaginative ex-Turk.

#34 - Sing
Vincent sighed and tried to go back to sleep, but pop songs coming out of the shower in that pitch and volume were just too much for anyone to ignore.

#35 - Sudden
He was listening to Cloud, and then he was in the ex-Turk's arms, and Cid knew there were certainly worse places to wake up.

#36 - Stop
Cid couldn't say the word, no matter how much it hurt; he just wanted Vincent to enjoy this, even though he was making him bleed.

#37 - Time
Tapping his foot impatiently, Cid shoved past Vincent once the bathroom door opened, positive he'd cut off all that silky hair no matter how much he loved it, as his bladder didn't.

#38 - Wash
Biting his lip to keep from saying 'I told you so', Vincent simply helped Cid get to the bathroom where he could clean off all the engine oil on his face.

#39 - Torn
Cid hadn't seen his old comrades in years, but this weekend was his and Vincent's camping trip, and he wasn't sure how he could say no to the men who'd saved his life because of the man who WAS his life.

#40 - History
Throwing down the book in disgust before stomping outside angrily caused Vincent to curiously glance at its title: "The Hidden Beauty of the Wutain War".

#41 - Power
He kicked the engine again and again, knowing that if this thing didn't blow the roof off once the propellers started, he'd never hear the end of it; but how could he resist telling Vincent all the modifications he'd made to the Tiny Bronco?

#42 - Bother
Vincent tried to apologize, but Cid simply wrapped his arms around him and kissed the pale chest, assuring him that it was only a little love bite and nothing serious.

#43 - God
"I was an unstoppable force of death, absolutely nothing could prevent me from killing my target--but now I know that I am nothing, especially because I can't bring you back," he said as he set down the blue irises against the headstone.

#44 - Wall
"So yeah, I figured we could, um, extend this out or something," he tried to sound like it was all planned as Vincent looked through the new hole in the living room caused by a tossed cigarette accidentally landing on an old cache of gunpowder.

#45 - Naked
With his lover's tanned skin under his hands, Vincent tried not to follow the old scars or otherwise remind Cid of them, since he knew they would only bring back bad memories.

#46 - Drive
Ever since Cid had switched teas, he was an insatiable bedmate, but Vincent wasn't about to tell him the real use of the main herb.

#47 - Harm
Vincent held the pilot tightly in his arms, trying to convince him that he would always protect him, and no ghost regiment in the woods was going to harm him while he was around.

#48 - Precious
Staring down at the old zippo lighter that had belonged to Cid's father, Vincent knew that the precious gift was a promise they would see each other again after they separated and one of their groups killed Sephiroth.

#49 - Hunger
The two men chowed down on Shera's cooking after camping for the weekend, as basic bodily needs had not been satisfied while carnal ones were.

#50 - Believe
The ex-Turk blinked at the harsh, sudden light as his coffin was opened, and for a moment those blue eyes staring down at him looked like they belonged to an angel.
