1.WALKING - When Gil and David entered the lab together and crossed the corridors side by side, and when Gil kissed his cheek goodbye before he let David go to his lab, the only suprised person was Conrad Ecklie.
2.WALTZ - When Gil asked him for a dance, David was sure the man was joking, but when Gil's arm slip around his waist, and a soft waltz filled the ballroom, he found he didn't mind all those stares and whispers, at all.
3.WISHES - David wished that Gil would clean all Sara's things from his (theirs?) house, he wished that when asleep Gil wouldn't sometimes say Sara's name, he wished that Gil loved him, and he wished that it wouldn't hurt so much that Gil still kept Sara's picture in his wallet.
4.WONDER - It's really wonderful, David said, and let Gil slip the ring on his finger.
5.WORRY - When Gil was out on the scene David worried about him, because you could never be completely sure that it was safe, so when they got home, David held his lover a little bit closer, kissed him a little bit lnger, never knowing if it wasn't for a last time.
6.WHIMSY - "It's not a passing whim" said Gil before kissing him sweetly.
7.WASTE - Sara left more than just her clothes behind, so when David found chocolate body paint under the sink, he smirked, no use letting it go to waste.
8.WHISKEY AND RUM - Greg was a little suprised when David asked the barman for vodka and Gil oredered just beer, he really thought they were more whiskey and rum types.
9.WAR - David's grandmother used to say that it was war that made their family leave Russia, but David knows that in reality it was scandal his great-aunt caused by seducing that married general.
10.WEDDINGS - Greg and Ryan smiled sickly sweet at each other, and Daivd nearly gagged, still wondering why exactly Greg made him his best man.
11.BIRTHDAY - It was at Archie's birthday party that Gil finally gathered his courage and asked David for breakfast.
12.BLESSING - His siter looked at the photo David gave her, took a long drag from her cigarette and frowned, and David knew they had her blessing.
13.BIAS - David really thought that spider made cute pets after Gil gave him his first tarantulla, Pattie, but then, he WAS biased.
14.BURNING - He was watching the medics take Greg away with wide eyes, one of the paramedics taking care of his burned hand and the glass in his cheek, saying how lucky he was, but David knew that the smell of burning flesh will hunt him for months if not years.
15.BREATHING - When David lies awake when he really should be sleeping, he likes to listen to Gil's breathing, and wonders if that's what true love is, when you are simply happy to hear your lover's breath.
16.BREAKING - When Sara walked in on them kissing in Gil's office, she could hear her heart break.
17.BELIEF - It was popular belief that Sara was in love with Gil (she wasn't really, but better for people to believe it was Gil than knowing it was Catherine), but nobody knew that so was David Hodges.
18.BALLOON - David hands him his results, saying it was a piece of a balloon, and Gil smiles, because that might have cracked his case.
19.BALCONY - Gil didn't think that David was a plant person, but the jungle on David's balcony proves him wrong.
20.BANE - Greg still couln't believe the owner banned them from his bar, when Jacqui started dancing on the bar, Archie singing in Klingon, Bobby showing everybody photos of his daughters and David declaring his undying love for Grissom (Greg probably would have joined him with his own for Ryan, but he was their driver), it's not like it wasn't like that EVERY time.
21.QUIET - In days after his operation Gil is afraid of silence, so Daivd picks up Gil's favourite book and starts reading out loud.
22.QUIRKS - Both of then had so many weird quirks and habits, that everyone in the lab agreed that they were perfect for each other.
23.QUESTIONS - Of course thery had their doubts and questions, but it was easier to face them together.
24.QUARREL - They didn't quarrel often, but when they did, the make-up sex was more than worth it.
25.QUITTING - David always swore it would be the last time, really, really, really last time, but when he took a drag from his cigarette he couldn't deny it's thrill.
26.JUMP - Going into so fast after last (disaterious) one felt like a jump without parachute from a plane, but years later Gil knows it was worth the risk.
27.JESTER - Greg was their lab jester, so when he was gone (in hospital, burned, hurting)the lab was quiet and kind of sad; David wished that Greg would get better soon, for the lab's and Gil's sake, he wanted to see his lover's smile again.
28.JOUSTING David sighed for a hundred time since Greg came over with that new game of his, Gil instantly fell in love with the knights combats and kings counquering kingdoms.
29.JEWEL - Gil's mother had earrings with sapphires, when he looks into David eyes he is reminded of their color.
30.JUST - It took David just 6 years to finally gather enough courage to ask Gil out for coffee.
31.SMIRK - One of the many things Gil loved about David was his smirk when he knew he was right.
32.SORROW - David helped him forget the pain he felt when Sara left him.
33.STUPIDITY - Stupidity was going to an un-checked crime scene without back-up, both Gil and David agreed about it.

44.NEAR - Gil was really grateful that David was near him all through the funeral, Hank was his friend for almost 10 years, and he will be missed.
45.NATURAL - Greg sometimes was tempted to believe that David was born with sarcasm written in his DNA.
46.HORIZON - Sometimes David rode out into the desert just to see the horizon again.
47.VALIANT - Nick was viewed as the brave and noble one by the lab, but he knew that in reality it was David Hodges who was brave enough to be in a relationship with Gil Grissom.
