Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Blaise Zabini/Luna Lovegood
Theme Set: Alpha
Rating: PG-13 Warnings: Non-explicit hints at sex and violence, terrible punctuation abuse

Comfort
Blaise had convinced himself that the comfort he felt in Luna's presence was that of any warm, female body; and nothing at all to do with the kindness of her eyes, the softness of her heart or the fact that, to her, the past was merely past.

Kiss
He was about to contradict her, to reason that all of her innocent beliefs were impossible, but then she smiled warmly at him, and he leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers instead.

Soft
He brushed the arm of her soft pink jumper and smiled, his heart melting at how sweet and vulnerable she looked, so unlike every girl in his past but somehow the only girl he wanted in his future.

Pain
The pain of the Cruciatus curse was terrible, but it was nothing next to the agony of her heart shattering into a million tiny pieces when she saw him looking on coldly, as if they had never been in love at all.

Potatoes
Blaise watched as Luna dipped potato halves in poster paint and stamped them along the page to make pretty wrapping paper, mystified at how something so simple could become so beautiful in her creative hands.

Rain
They weren’t the most stable couple in the world, but Luna wouldn’t swap screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain with Blaise for all of the sweet, charming fairytale princes in the world.

Chocolate
She permanently tasted of chocolate for a full month after Easter, and it was a mystery to Blaise how Luna could eat like that and yet remain the thin, ethereal figure who had ensnared him all those years ago.

Happiness
He had never known the true meaning of happiness before he loved her.

Telephone
Blaise had long since grown accustomed to the idea of the mobile telephone, but he still insisted to Luna that the people in the street were talking to themselves, because when he did she would laugh her crystal laugh at him.

Ears
Luna’s ears were slightly pointed, like the inaccurate pictures some Muggles drew of elves, and if such fantastic creatures had ever been real Blaise would have had no trouble believing his moonlight goddess girlfriend to be descended from them.

Name
He called her sweetling, and angel, and darling, and lovely; anything to avoid the cruel nicknames he had heard and used before he really knew her.

Sensual
The satin of her nightgown slithered against her pale skin as she walked over to press herself to his half-naked body, and to kiss his soft, strong lips.

Death
Luna cried out in pain and horror, watching helplessly as the green light enveloped Blaise and he fell to the ground.

Sex
It was just sex, she told herself firmly as she tumbled into bed with the darkly seductive Blaise and her fingers accidentally brushed the Dark Mark on his forearm, making her shiver.

Touch
He reached across the table and gently brushed his fingers against hers, wishing he could ignore the bolt of electricity that went through him as he did so.

Weakness
Her love gave him strength, and his love for her was his greatest weakness.

Tears
Her silver eyes filled with tears as she lay on the drawing room floor, but Blaise stayed where he was, knowing that to run to her like he wanted to do was to condemn them both to death.

Speed
The world blurred as he lay flat against his broomstick, praying that he wouldn’t arrive too late to save her.

Wind
The wind blew strands of her gold silk hair into his mouth as they talked.

Freedom
His mother had once described love to him as a gilded cage, but as he pressed his lips to Luna’s all Blaise tasted was freedom.

Life
As Luna wept over the lifeless body of their stillborn daughter, Blaise saw the bright spark in her silver eyes extinguish.

Jealousy
Luna understood the need for her relationship with Blaise to be a secret, but as she watched a redheaded Slytherin girl smile at Blaise she felt as though someone was sliding a knife between her ribs.

Hands
He took her small, pale hand in his larger dark one, and felt as though everything might eventually be all right.

Taste
When he kissed her for the first time she tasted of strawberry lipgloss and cherry soda, almost too sweet to be quite real.

Devotion
When Luna smiled at him he would gladly do anything she asked, even if she asked the impossible.

Forever
All she had left of him was a badly focused photograph, but she knew that it was enough for now, and for forever.

Blood
He had never thought about what being a Pureblood meant, until the moment that he left it all behind.

Sickness
Prejudice and hatred had spread through the wizarding world like a sickness; for Blaise Luna’s pure heart had been the cure.

Melody
Luna hummed as she danced around her room, the memory of dancing with Blaise still fresh in her mind.

Star
As they danced under the moonlight her eyes shone like stars.

Home
Blaise had never had a real home before, but as he looked into Luna’s eyes he thought that he may have finally found one.

Confusion
One minute she was just another crazy face in the crowd, the next she was the most important girl in the world, and Blaise never knew quite how it happened.

Fear
Blaise didn’t know what he was more afraid of - that Luna would hurt him, or that he would hurt her.

Lightning/Thunder
The storm raged outside as Luna snuggled into bed, safe and warm wrapped in Blaise’s arms.

Bonds
When she opened the door to find him bleeding and slumped on her front steps it didn’t matter that he had betrayed her, didn’t matter that he had broken her heart - some things were more important, and she still loved him anyway.

Market
She looks like a gypsy as she half-dances between the market stalls, running her hands over pretty beaded bracelets and soft, floating dresses, pulling faces at him as she tries on ridiculous hats, laughing and pulling him away from stalls as he tries to buy her everything she likes.

Technology
A week after they move into a flat in Muggle London, Luna comes home with a large box filled with a metal and glass cube and numerous inexplicable wires, and spends an hour and a half attempting to decipher the instruction manual before Blaise laughs at her and flicks his wand at the thing, accidentally causing it to explode.

Gift
Blaise had been given many costly and beautiful things in his life, but the most precious gift he ever received was her heart.

Smile
Luna stirs as Blaise lifts her off the couch where she fell asleep and carries her to bed, and the half-smile she gives him as he does so melts his heart.

Innocence
Sometimes Luna seems to Blaise to be the only remaining spot of bright innocence in a dark and corrupt universe, and Blaise wonders if he could live with himself if he were to destroy that innocence, even accidentally.

Completion
It seemed to Luna that the famous saying, ‘You complete me’ was such a cliché, and inaccurate besides - love wasn’t about completion, an ending, it was about new beginnings - and her beginning with Blaise was truly spectacular.

Clouds
They lay together on a picnic blanket, watching clouds drift past in the bright blue sky on a perfect Summer’s day.

Sky
All the stars in the night sky could not compete with the bright enchantment of Luna’s smile as he approached her, telescope in one hand and a bottle of champagne in the other.

Heaven
Blaise had never believed in heaven; but now, without even the inconvenience of dying, he fancied himself there with Luna - the beautiful angel who had redeemed his soul.

Hell
Blaise had known that he would feel bad when it was revealed that he had been working, however unwillingly, for the dark side - but when he saw the betrayal in Luna’s silvery eyes he found himself in Hell.

Sun
The heat of the weak English sun was almost nonexistent when compared with that of the islands where Blaise was accustomed to spending his Summers, but as Luna walked toward him, her blonde hair glittering in the light, Blaise had never felt warmer.

Moon
Luna was as pale as the moon she had been named for, but as she smiled at him Blaise knew that the last thing she could be considered was cold or remote.

Waves
They lay together in the cave, letting the ocean waves lap at their toes as they breathed each other in.

Hair
Blaise thought that Lady Godiva must have looked like Luna as she stood naked in his bedroom, her golden hair falling in gentle waves down her back, her rose-tinted lips curving into a smile.

Supernova
Their love was like a supernova, a bright explosion that had changed the universe as Blaise knew it, shattering it beyond repair and reassembling it as something entirely new and fantastic.
