Fandom: Star Ocean: till the end of time
Pairing: LutherxFayt
Theme set: Epsilon
Rating: PG - R
----
#01 - Motion
The zigzag motions Fayt makes as he moves, and the slashing sounds of his sword as his weapon clashes against Luther’s--he finds it fascinating, and continues to fight his enemy.
----
#02 - Cool
There is nothing cool about Fayt’s destructive bomb landing on Luther, and the Creator finds himself frustrated, having to shield himself again and losing a lot of his life force.
----
#03 - Young
They are both young, yet their eyes reflect the hardships that they both went through, and in that way, they have something in common.
----
#04 - Last
Fayt felt that the battle was going to last long, but he realized as he defeated Luther, that the battle hadn’t lasted that long at all.
----
#05 - Wrong
In Luther’s opinion, Fayt was wrong to come into the 4D space; yet, in Fayt’s opinion, Luther was wrong for attempting to destroy his universe; that’s just to say that neither of them were right or wrong.
----
#06 - Gentle
Luther never noticed it before until he faced Fayt; his enemy had the same gentle features; the only difference was that his features had hardened through his obsession with the Eternal Sphere.
----
#07 - One
Luther was the one, Fayt figured, the one who had created everyone and everything that was the Eternal Sphere; however, he found himself wondering why Luther had acted as the God and the Devil.
----
#08 - Thousand
There were thousands of words to describe how beautiful the Eternal Sphere was to Fayt; too bad Luther had disregarded its true existence.
----
#09 - King
Fayt found himself irritated by Luther’s attitude; the Owner acted like a King, a God, and technically, he was, but still, he also acted like a jerk, and Fayt didn’t like that.
----
#10 - Learn
After the defeat of Luther, Fayt wanted to learn more about him, like what year he was born, and how he had created the Eternal Sphere; it was interesting to him, and he had told no one about this secret desire.
----
#11 - Blur
It was all a blur, Fayt and Luther fighting, surviving, yelling, and killing--in the end, the savior won, and it was not the Creator.
----
#12 - Wait
Fayt didn’t have the patience to wait; he wanted to deal with Luther, and he wanted to go after him right now!
----
#13 - Change
Fayt figured that someone godlike, for instance Luther, would be utterly perfect, and when Fayt had met him, he was, but there was one flaw: Luther couldn’t adapt to change, and that had caused his downfall.
----
#14 - Command
Fayt shivered as Luther’s commanding voice boomed across his area of clocks and machines; the Creator truly sounded like a master, and he acted like one as well.
----
#15 - Hold
For a brief moment, when Luther took a hold of him, Fayt thought he would surrender, but he was wrong, very wrong--Luther had shoved him to the ground, and fought him to the end.
----
#16 - Need
A part of Fayt wanted to save Luther from his own destruction (which was ironic because Fayt was the embodiment of Destruction), and so he wondered, what was the Creator missing and what did he need?
----
#17 - Vision
He first thought they were angel wings coming out of Luther’s back--then his obscured vision was cleared-- what he saw was something worse-- two metallic wings of white…
----
#18 - Attention
Fayt wanted to divert Luther’s attention, focus on him dammit, because he couldn’t let Luther hurt his companions, or kill them!
----
#19 - Soul
“If Luther becomes mechanical like his machines, then he has no soul,” Fayt said coldly, and everyone else around him nodded their heads gravely.
----
#20 - Picture
Pictures, memories and images of Fayt in that final battle-- they vanished from his mind as Luther felt the tingling sensation of being deleted.
----
#21 - Fool
This was rather Albel’s favorite word, but Fayt would gladly label Luther as a fool for underestimating his own creations.
----
#22 - Mad
When Luther screamed “Die! Die! Die! Be gone! Everyone and everything!”, Fayt knew that he was mad, madder than hell and everything that was unholy.
----
#23 - Child
He hated it, that phrase of “Data should behave themselves!” because Luther was treating him like a child, and he was not a child.
----
#24 - Now
It was now or never, Fayt thought, it was time to face Luther.
----
#25 - Shadow
Even after the defeat of Luther, Fayt felt paranoid and slightly wary, because of the questions that went in his mind like “What if Luther’s alive, lurking in the shadows?” but Fayt let that pass, and he slept uncomfortably.
----
#26 - Goodbye
He didn’t want to say goodbye to his new companions and even Luther (who had been deleted, but he wanted to count him in, because in a way, he was someone Fayt met too, rather brutally), but he had to in order to move on.
----
#27 - Hide
He used one of his stones to hide from Luther’s massive attacks, and he knew that it would not last long.
----
#28 - Fortune
The fortune he received for defeating his nemesis, and the millions of thanks and hugs-- it was too much for him, and he couldn’t help but smile.
----
#29 - Safe
With Luther’s Proclaimers lurking around, Fayt knew that nothing in Elicoor II was safe; in fact, he doubted that he was even safe with his comrades.
----
#30 - Ghost
“If Luther had no soul, then he would have no ghost, but someone that smart definitely would have a brain,” Fayt mused, gazing at the window of the hotel.
----
#31 - Book
Fayt wondered if his nemesis’ defeat had been recorded in a book; he doubted it though, because no one knew the truth save his group, and even if it was recorded, no one would believe said book.
----
#32 - Eye
Their eyes…they even have the similar stare, but Fayt’s eyes were green and Luther’s eyes were blue, and Luther seemed much more harsh than Fayt.
----
#33 - Never
“Never say ‘Never’,” Fayt said to the others, and Luther laughed in mockery, trying to drown his hope.
----
#34 - Sing
When Fayt entered Luther’s workplace, he could have sworn he heard angels singing, and the same creatures were predicting his doom; he tried to shrug it off, yet found himself looking left and right for those angels of doom.
----
#35 - Sudden
It was all so sudden-- Fayt’s blade clashing against his own weapon, and bam!
----
#36 - Stop
Everything stopped at that moment, where, or rather, when everything froze between Luther and Fayt, and at last, the final battle commenced.
----
#37 - Time
“Time didn’t exist in the world of the 4D beings; no wonder Luther created the Eternal Sphere to cease everyone’s boredom,” Fayt mused out loud, sighing.
----
#38 - Wash
He felt so filthy, he wanted to wash the evidence of his dream of Luther, wash it all away, so he could remain pure in everyone’s eyes.
----
#39 - Torn
He felt torn, seeing Luther and Blair argue with each other, because they were siblings, and Blair treated her brother like he was also her Creator, which didn’t make any sense because Luther didn’t create her.
----
#40 - History
Fayt wanted to write a book about how he had went after his enemy, but a part of him felt it was biased, because winners always wrote the history, and he would rather hear from the other side of history as well…
----
#41 - Power
The power that Luther wielded was nothing compared to Fayt, because Fayt was the embodiment of Destruction; he could destroy anything he wished.
----
#42 - Bother
With the Creator acting like a pompous ass, why did he even bother to reason with the Creator?
----
#43 - God
Fayt figured that Luther behaved more like the Devil than God, because God loved all his creations, unlike Luther.
----
#44 - Wall
There was a wall between them, that represented the lack of communication, and if Fayt could just breach it, then everything would be all better.
----
#45 - Naked
He felt stark naked, having the Creator’s piercing blue eyes on him.
----
#46 - Drive
This was his drive, knowing that everyone was counting on him and his group, to find the Owner and get rid of him once and for all.
----
#47 - Harm
It was too late; Luther had harmed his friends, and knowing himself, Fayt was going to harm him back, because karma worked that way.
----
#48 - Precious
The Eternal Sphere was no longer precious to him; it became corrupted with bugs and viruses like Fayt and his group.
----
#49 - Hunger
Luther hungered for something that the 4D world couldn’t give to him, and that was reality with Fayt-- in their own world of hurt and pain and perhaps, obsession.
----
#50 - Believe
“As long as we believe, we know we exist,” Fayt declared to Luther, who smiled a lopsided smile that conveyed insanity.
