Julian's POV #01 - Walking
I want to see Julian walking weightlessly, although I don't think he'd have any patience for this thing I like so much.
#02 - Waltz
We are dancing without dancing, our words make the steps, and I- I am happy just to continue on like this.
#03 - Wishes
He asks me what I wish, for him, for myself, thinking that surely I must have some grand plan or other, but all I have is the simple desire that we be allowed to stay just like we are...
#04 - Wonder
I wonder so many things, so, so many things, and I wonder too, if you do, Julian.
#05 - Worry
He worries about me (I realized this after Leona died); he was glad (in a way that makes one guilty to be glad) that it was not me.
#06 - Whimsy
What a funny, light thing it is for an Irish priest to make time for a Japanese-style tea with a Russian man in an international spacecraft drifting in Lingwan space- the universe is so small, isn't it?
#07 - Waste/Wasteland
The infirmary is just that, a sterile, white wasteland, Julian's own hermitage.
#08 - Whiskey and rum
Neither of us will drink, but I think the smell of the liquid creeping from Ringo's hidden flask adds a certain touch to the atmosphere that cannot be regretted.
#09 - War
It takes more than average words to win Julian; settling with him is like ending a war.
#10 - Weddings
I love weddings, but must be resigned to the fact that I will not be performing any while serving on Navigator.
#11 - Birthday
I have a birthday that he doesn't celebrate, he has a birthday he won't tell me about.
#12 - Blessing
I have set my heart and soul on blessing him the best I can, because I love him the best, and only the best will convince him.
#13 - Bias
Julian doesn't really care about religion, or politics, or scientific advances, or anything at all, so he says, but the little things, the littlest things of all.
#14 - Burning
I see him in my fever haze and how can I tell then if I am burning with love or hate or sickness?
#15 - Breathing
He stops breathing sometimes when I'm talking to him, but I don't think he notices- he can hold his breath so, so long.
#16 - Breaking
I can break the silence, but Julian must break the barriers.
#17 - Belief
Oh God, I have always believed...
#18 - Balloon
What a brilliant rainbow all my feelings would make if I could release them all like balloons into the sky...
#19 - Balcony
He is like a princess in a tower, secluded by his own will, and I am the prince on the ground, who can yell and stare and scheme, but will only be admitted if the princess truly desires it.
#20 - Bane
"When you say that, do you mean I'm your weakness or your enemy?"
#21 - Quiet
I must learn to love the quiet to love Julian.
#22 - Quirks
Quirks: together we have more than enough.
#23 - Question
"Do you trust me now?"
#24 - Quarrel
Let's not argue, let's not argue, I fuss, as I've never liked an argument.
#25 - Quitting
"I can't give up on you, it's not allowed," I tease each time he tries to make me quit.
#26 - Jump
"If I say "jump," you say, "how high?" Is that it?" Julian laughs at the joke he is failing to tell me.
#27 - Jester
I approach him carefully, always eager to please- if not I will be sent away.
#28 - Jousting
We are tilting with words, and I feel I am snapping my lances, one after another, on his cold, silver armor.
#29 - Jewel
Is there any sort of gem that can match that beautiful yellow?
#30 - Just
I can't decide if what I'm doing is right or wrong, beautiful or selfish, true or misguided.
#31 - Smirk
His only smile isn't a smirk you learn if you hang around him long enough.
#32 - Sorrow
I've learned about what sorrow can do to a person.
#33 - Stupidity
I've got mine and he's got his, but my foolishness always seems to be the sort that ends up showing.
#34 - Serenade
If I sing a song for him he will laugh me away because my voice is rough and awkward.
#35 - Sarcasm
"Oh, Stuart, you are doing such wonderful things for me- saving my soul and all that," he gushes with mock-enthusiasm (I had never known he had the skill for that).
#36 - Sordid
May thinks it's more than it is- which is what we both expect of May.
#37 - Soliloquy
"I am me and Julian is Julian and sometimes, sometimes there seems like there's nothing I can do to bridge the gap and I don't know what to try or why I want to so badly," I admit, but only to myself.
#38 - Sojourn
Even in the midst of our comrades who journey toward the stars, Julian and I are taking a journey of our own into the heart's interior.
#39 - Share
"Didn't anyone ever teach you to share?" I asked, hoping that I could tease at least this much without angering him.
#40 - Solitary
He tells me he desires nothing more than to be the definition of solitary, but I can see beyond that facade, I know I can...
#41 - Nowhere
As he sees it, there's nowhere secret and safe enough for Julian to live in all this world.
#42 - Neutral
Marta and Kallo occasionally find themselves caught up as neutral parties, trying desperately to mediate our affairs.
#43 - Nuance
I tilt my head, he moves his hand, I close my eyes, he opens his.
#44 - Near
We are near enough to touch so often, and yet we rarely do.
#45 - Natural
Someday, I'd like for it to be as natural to him to sit together like this as it is for me.
#46 - Horizon
"Hey, Julian, what do you see out there, looking out at Le'Lingwa?" I asked cheerfully as he stared at the sky.
#47 - Valiant
"You're very brave or very stupid for doing all this," he liked to remind me.
#48 - Virtuous
"Enough with the sweet and holy act," he also tended to gag and choke.
#49 - Victory
When Julian smiled, we both won.
#50 - Defeat
When Julian frowned, even if he didn't realize it, we both lost.
