Pairing: Dr. Greg House x Detective Michael Tritter
Theme set: Delta
Title: Adversaries
Rating: R
Warning[s]: Non-explicit sex.
Disclaimer: I don't own anyone from House.

#01 - Air - House keeps his air conditioner on; he likes to hear it thump in sync with their own movements.
#02 - Apples - Once or twice Tritter brings up Cuddy, but House tells him it’s apples and oranges.
#03 - Beginning - They aren’t sure whether it’s the beginning, or the beginning of the end.
#04 - Bugs - When he’s gone, House checks to see if Tritter placed bugs in his house.
#05 - Coffee - The coffee is always the most awkward part, the part when they have to stare at each other.
#06 - Dark - Tritter’s eyes are blue, but House senses something much darker behind them.
#07 - Despair - House considers maybe the other man is so angry because anger is easier than despair.
#08 - Doors - Tritter likes to hum as they lie together, as if to distract himself; this time it’s “People are Strange”.
#09 - Drink - When they drink together, House’s choice is bourbon, and Tritter’s is tequila.
#10 - Duty - They each have their duty, their badges, their responsibilities.
#11 - Earth - Tritter is the last person on Earth he should be with, but here they are.
#12 - End - The end of their feud was telling; though Tritter’s never admitted he might have been wrong about House.
#13 - Fall - He hadn’t expected to fall for him, would have said it was idiotic if anyone had suggested it.
#14 - Fire - But there had been a fire, a bad one, and he’d been a responder and so had House.
#15 - Flexible - Flexibility has never been Tritter’s strong point, but he’s finding this whole thing bends him and twists him.
#16 - Flying - If someone asked House what if was like, he’d say it was like flying in a plane about to crash.
#17 - Food - Their nights tend to begin with ordering food, bickering about what to get until they always settle on Chinese.
#18 - Foot - Tritter will kick his feet up like he owns the place, whether it’s his apartment or House’s.
#19 - Grave - He still warns House that the Vicodin will land him in his grave, but it’s just preamble now, a way to make himself feel better about the whole thing.
#20 - Green - House hasn’t breathed a word to anyone; Wilson would be green with envy, or even furious.
#21 - Head - His head keeps reminding him he shouldn’t be here; at least, the one on his shoulders.
#22 - Hollow - His threats to leave are hollow, though, because there’s something there, though he can’t decide what.
#23 - Honor - The detective’s all wrapped up in honor, the idea of it, even when he’s biting House’s shoulder and grabbing his ass.
#24 - Hope - “I hope you’re ready, House, because I’m coming in, like it or not!”
#25 - Light - He’d be a fool to call this a light at the end of the tunnel; more like the light at the end of a microscope.
#26 - Lost - He’s not sure which of them is more lost than the other.
#27 - Metal - On this night, House hears a click, and he knows it’s Tritter’s handcuffs come into play.
#28 - New - This is new, not normally part of the plan, but the detective is confident that the doctor will agree.
#29 - Old - “Aren’t we too old for kinky sex games, Tritter?”
#30 - Peace - Neither of them will ever find peace.
#31 - Poison - House would call the whole thing poisonous, if he could, but it’s no more poisonous than the Vicodin.
#32 - Pretty - There’s one point where Tritter yanks his hair, bites his neck and calls him “pretty” and House doesn’t know why it turns him on, but it does.
#33 - Rain - Tritter hates the rain, but his annoyance usually turns to amorousness so it’s all worth it.
#34 - Regret - House isn’t sure if he regrets all of it or none of it.
#35 - Roses - They don’t bring each other roses; the only thing that would remain would be the thorns.
#36 - Secret - It’s a secret from everyone; House can’t even imagine what Wilson would say.
#37 - Snakes - House snakes a hand over Tritter’s back and receives the reprimand, “You think were, what, a couple now?”
#38 - Snow - They are, though, and he manages to manhandle him into a walk in the December snow.
#39 - Solid - It’s lasted a year in the blink of an eye, not solid or stable but it’s something.
#40 - Spring - By the time spring rolls around, the team’s noticed a change in House’s behavior.
#41 - Stable - House’s constant instability at work seems to slowly balance out, as he channels it into his nights.
#42 - Strange - Tritter had never pictured himself in a relationship lasting more than a couple one-night stands, but this isn’t a normal relationship, it’s something much stranger.
#43 - Summer - By the time summer rolls around, they’re starting to suspect that someone’s noticed.
#44 - Taboo - Foreman would shake his head but not question, but Chase, maybe Chase would point out how taboo it all was.
#45 - Ugly - So they make sure to keep it a secret, and still consider that it’s ugly things they do, even when the rough sex gives way to an odd sort of affection.
#46 - War - They fight a constant war against each other, and barely even notice when they end up on the same side.
#47 - Water - It’s as necessarily as water, but they can lead each other without being able to make the other drink.
#48 - Welcome - Maybe it’d be welcome if one of them called quits, but they don’t know and don’t want to know.
#49 - Winter - It’s a far colder winter than normal in Princeton; it’s like the winter they met as adversaries.
#50 - Wood - Above all, the one thing House will always remember is the sound of the wood bed frame, half-on half-off police-issue boots slamming against it.
