Wow. This is fascinating. I love the way you write - all the parallels to a painting. You give me a real feel for Sam's world at Stanford and make his friends seem real. Excellent job :D

This was an amazing outside look into Sam and his relationship with his brother and the events that led them back to being on the road again. This just took my breath away and the imagery was awesome, describing how Sam looked on those backroads, how he didn't fit anymore because Dean didn't fit with the ocean. Like Sam is a chameleon and changes to fit the scenery but never quite fits without Dean because Dean is ultimately home. I loved this and it's so going in my memories. AMAZING JOB!

Deep down, resting somewhere unknown in me, I knew Sam had something to prove to someone - or maybe it was just to himself.

So beautiful, and heart breaking. That it's something so apparent in Sam. I enjoyed that as well as all the allusions to finding his home VS fleeing, and belonging to the ocean VS the back road.

There is something I just find completely interesting in outside point of views. The cadence and atmosphere is just a clear change in how we see Sam and Dean otherwise, in canon or fics where we're there with them. It gives us satisfaction, and comprehension I think, that others can also be lost in their stories. And you transpired that well into people who are more than passers-by, but not there for every step of the way either.

We watched the stars sparkle across the sky and Sam told us stories about the back roads of American and naming off all the towns he had ever been to.You caught their sense of wonder so well, like something ordinary, typical. Of course someone who's been everywhere - once, I liked that ( ... )
