Grouses

I know I'll probably regret saying this sometime down the road but I'm gonna say it anyway for now - I wish Josh can walk. It's really annoying me how he's leeching on to my leg (almost) all the time & I have to drag him along , esp when I'm cooking or doing housework ( Read more... )

any luck tiring your son?? :)

think your wait shd be over anytime now...before long Josh would start walking..by then you might be chasing him all over the house!

do you think a mattress on the floor would do the trick? Think he'snot used to the "caged up" bed...

yah but when he wakes, I KNOW he'll be all over the room and endangering himself so we have to close the door. And if we close the door, we might not hear him fast enough if he falls or does something like pulling the fan down..

Josh is fully capable of all the naughty things you can imagine + he's so darn strong, he can throw heavy books across the room :(

hey, i think it'll b soon tt manja michelin will walk. he's using u as the alternative standing device la. I remember when jean was doing this, i used to show her the various OTHER stuff in the house she can use to push n walk aided. a large vacuum cleaner box that's right for her height, filled w heavy books to keep it stable, worked well, and also any stable chair/stool that will slide on the floor but won't topple. see if daddy can entice him into doing the new 'walking toy' ya? ~ MF

Yeah I hope so , he's 15 1/2 months now so it's kinda late no?? I mean I dont' wanna be paranoid or have any expectations but I certainly dont' want anything to be wrong with his legs!!

he's got walking toys like his shopping cart and he'll push the ikea stool around etc but he just wants to come and "ka chaw" me when I'm cooking. Purposely wants to manja me - nowaways he can't not see me or his daddy. I wonder if it's cos he's deprived of familiar faces.

And it's not just cos he's sticky to me , cos when daddy's home, he's forgotten all abt me! It's tricky business la, balancing the part that's Josh's nature & our nurturing. I try to ask myself first before I get frustrated, if this is Josh or is this is a result of what I did or didn't do.

Tiring man....

I think its the familiar faces and environment thingy... as a child while he may not be able to articulate or walk, but in a strange way, their senses are v alert. They mite feel a tad insecure when u dun surround them with enuf familarity.. you and hubby are the only consistencies in his young life now.. so I guess he would be clingy... hey but think, now would be the only time where he would be clingy, just wait till he turns 18 or maybe even 13 yr old..

PS: didnt see you online much this week. u ok??
