It's just a habit we cultivated years ago with my younger SIL who didn't understand much Mandarin ( Read more... )

Oh but I never criticize Josh behind his back or in Mandarin - I say it outright to him IN HIS FACE. "Naughty boy!" " Urgh!!" Ha ha...

Once I pretended to want to box him with my fist cos he was driving me nutz, and he thinks it's very funny. Sigh. In the end it became a funny boxing game.

I was super impressed with his Teochew too that day! On top of his powerful and extensive command of English and Mandarin! I'm going to send Lorraine to Jay for some good linguistic skills!

nothing nothing nothing in the world of parenting beats having your own mother help out (even if it's once in a while) - there is no guilt feeling when you put up your feet to rest a while or take a longer bath...... enjoy yourself with your mommy!!!!!!!!!!!! (ask her to record some of those shows and bring back for me, hahahahahahaha)

Agree wholeheartedly. * Vigourous nodding*

With mummy, I can be myself. No guilt whatsoever when I relax or if I have to tell her off when she does something with/to Josh which I don't agree. With MILs, everything must be politically correct, it can be so tiring.

Hmmm.. one of "those shows" huh?? What's your preference? Guy on guy? Gal on Gal? Guy on Gal? Guys on gal? Gals on guy?? heee heee heee

ps: They have Grey's Ant here in French!!! URgh!!! At least I get to see Dr McDreamy. ;)
