i forgot to add, how about tofu and bean sprouts (when you get to Sydney, you can buy these?).
i'm sure Josh adores you to bits, he's just learning to be more independent and showing his assertion. i'm not sure, if this is a gender thing, cos both my girls have had their days with their daddy too, but i've never been at the receiving end of it. So maybe Josh wants to bond with his father more? I don't know if I make any sense here, sorry!

Yep he eats tofu here - i mash it into his omelette. He used to like it in cubes, boiled and dipped with a little vegemite but now he spits it out. So I mash it into the magic food :) Can't bring bean sprouts into Noumea - they have it here actually...

I'm also not sure if it's a daddy & son / mummy & daughter thing.. then again, how abt the " Mummy's boys and Daddy's girls" theory?

To be fair to Josh, there're times he'll only want mummy. For the lovey dovey things....

But i think you're right - he naturally cherishes the time with daddy cos daddy;s not always here. And the way they play is very different from the way Josh and I play.

At the end of the day, Josh makes me so so happy. There's no greater joy than seeing how well he's grown, and experiencing the times we spent as a family. It was just a passing bout of frustration :)

yo there,
You? No. 5? Nonsense la! road test it if u don't believe me! its one of those things u should take lightly. hey look on the bright side, you're finally getting your ME moments now! save the heartaches for later, when he gets married, haha! u don't wanna grow one of those mummy's boy type ya? early does of independence for Josh, just testing out his options I'm sure.
Chin up girl, and paint paint paint!

hey, make sure u take a video of Josh's shoe episodes. they'll come in so handy during those gloomy moments, haha!

:> MF (wishing i have more ME moments myself.... sigh....)

ha ha.. actually it's true. It's when ec takes over that I get ME moments.. so I shan't complain!!!!

Josh does have his super sticky moments to me too, and I can't say I like that too..

so I have to be fair and mature abt this.. can't be selective abt how he behaves and only wanting him to behave in a way that suits my needs. Nope, bad mummy!! :)

yah, Josh and his shoes.. super funny!! We've got videos and photos... hilarious!!!

I also realise that its at these moments that I discover a new facet of my emotions. again, like those little bitter-sweet dark chocolate surprises that God has kept for us, to be opened at just the right moments. ah... still so much growing up to do, even pass the grand-ole-age of 30 :>
hmmm, i wonder what's next for me?

anyhow, about jean, we've been having to instruct her before every shopping trip to NOT rip open toys in the store. had to pay for a couple already... its always time to check on her when she goes all quiet, aka her sneaky moments. well, the girl has not escaped public spanking either. so more growing up for the parents, and growing more thick skin so disciplining doesn't stop at home. one of those things that we don't relish....
