Just 2 days ago, Josh has decided that he doesn't like milk anymore. His exact words, "No milk mummy. Not nice". And since then, he hasn't had a drop of milk
( Read more... )
If he's eating well and not drinking very much milk daily, then it really shouldn't have much impact on his weight. But if he takes many bottles a day, then you'll have a shrinking Josh soon. My nephew used to be quite chubby but since he stopped drinking from the bottle (and hence drank less milk a day), he's looks so much more lean.
well, he's only been taking 2x150ml for over a year now. So I don't think it'll affect his weight much. He's growing taller so he's already starting to look leaner. But weight is ok according to Paed ( still very heavy to carry.. ha ha ha)
Ethan has the same issues. He stopped drinking milk (powder) at slighthly after one. I guess if Josh is eating well, its fine, but when Ethan have the tooth decay issue, I realise then that he may not be getting enough calcium as well. As Ethan's doctor always say, try re-introducing him milk later, dont force for that will make it worse. Now at 4, ethan has once again started on milk though he prefers fresh milk as compared to powder milk, so you might want to try that.
If you do go australia, there's also this 'magic' straw that turns ordinary vanilla milk into chocolate, banana and strawberry depending on which one you use, if you are keen, i will double check on the brand and let you know. :)
Thanks for the tip! I've given him high cal choc milk and strawberry milk ( I have to call them choc JUICE and strawberry JUICE cos he doesn't want anything with the word MILK in it !!)
so far, he takes a little. But he eats lots of yoghurt and cheese.. so calcium should be ok. I'm going to research on calcium-rich foods to give him more of :)
How're you feeling these days???? Hope all's well :)
