“Raven, I know you want this as much as I,” Erik said over breakfast. She ignored him.
Meals here were a cold affair, though it wasn’t for lack of sunlight, nor of warm-bodied company. He remembered (in nightmares, in dreams) breakfasts, lunches, dinners by candlelight in a small, simple home. Other meals, too, he remembered from a sterilized room, sometimes intravenous and painful. Then again, after that, warmth from other sources than candlelight or spotlights

Erik’s head itched.
Riptide continued waxed on about strategies for how to find recruits, and chalk board dust swirled as the man let his excitement take over.
Here (out there), a storm was brewing.
And Erik sat there looking around at his comrades. Half of him marveled at some with their youth and at others with their cruelty, while his other half wondered if he could afford to remove the helmet for even the briefest of moments.
But then he may see. And Erik vowed to keep as much of an advantage with his personal confidentiality as possible

I've it mapped out in my head at least, and will likely have more in a bunch soon. Seems as though we're on opposite sides of the globe, so perhaps it will work out well ;) Thank you again for such wonderful notes!

Do NOT cut any of these moments ^^ It can be painful when it's badly written, but when it has a style and a creativity like yours? I enjoy it very much, and it makes the big moments much better by anticipation.
