Not an AU of them as the Odd Couple but in the happy part of my mind, I see these two with an established relationship and Erik as a total troll, doing little endearing things to annoy Charles around the mansion and the likes. So implementing The Odd Couple in the movieverse while they're all living at the mansion. Any sexy times are up to the author but totally welcome.

This is all kinds of squishy cuddly delicious prickly bumpy love.
Deceptively casual writing disguises but doesn't diminish emotional punch. Also bloody funny in numerous places, several of them involving Sean who is an utter, utter goof and hilarious/adorable (ntm the implication that "sulking around" is part of his chores roster). Also 'Congratulations on keeping your values hidden' made me smirk and snicker. Basically this is wonderful and delightful and has a lovely texture of real day-to-day actually-happening life. Thank you <3
