Notes: This will be a combination of your prompt and some slight tweaks on my part eventually. Pairings will change, so Shaw/Charles won't be forever I'm afraid, probably will turn to some Charles/Erik, Shaw/Erik, and Shaw/Charles/Erik. I did combine actual stuff from X-men canon and X-men first class. The title is from Chuck Palahniuk's quote "Maybe this is why so many serial killers work in pairs. It's nice not to feel alone in a world full of victims or enemies. It's no wonder Waltraud Wagner, the Austrian Angel of Death convinced her friends to kill with her. It just seems natural. Just wanted to mention that while Charles will show interest in Shaw, only when he's older and legal will anything happen. Same with Erik.

omg thank you thank you for writing this :) please, my prompt is just what it is-a prompt. its totally up to your creativity on how you translate that prompt and let me just say this.is.so much better. in fact, its more realistic this way, i think. perhaps now Charles would actually enjoy himself.

Charles began to feel a buzzing in his mind as if there were more people around him. He gasped suddenly as he felt the barest whispers of words flit into his mind. Who on Earth was trying to contact him? The voice felt as sharp as the bright diamond he liked to curl himself around at night when his face was unrecognizable, and Raven had gone into hiding out of intense fear.

Hello Charles. The voice became abruptly louder, and Charles’s head thrummed with the feeling of another mind. You have been hurt so terribly. Would you like my help?

Who is this? Who’s there? How do you know my name?

The voice tinkled into delighted laughter. My name is Emma, Charles, and I am like you, a telepath. I work for a man who wants to help you. Charles couldn’t help but think that the voice sounded so comforting. He couldn’t even feel his pain with someone else’s mind conversing with his own.

Charles, darling. I know you’re scared, but tell me where you are. We can help you. Charles gingerly pressed at his face, feeling the tenderness again.

OMG I'M SORRY T___T sort of lost track of this when the fourth round started and everything just blew up sky high. BUT OMG YES. i like that you still made young Charles still the same sweet kid from the movie when he didnt want Kurt dead. and Shaw. psshhh Shaw. i have no words <3

Oh it's fine. I'm glad you like it. I'll try updating soon, but I've got two essays to write this week, so it's a bit tough.

this is magnificient , i hope you have not abandoned it! i would really read more of dark charles and erik, together paired up with fucked up emma and shaw :D

I haven't abandoned it at all; I'm just really busy this week with two essays and a final exam next week. Plus, I've been working on another fic found here.
