Charles/Erik - House AU

Am I seriously the first person here today? Odd timing.

Anyway, I'd love to see a House-esque AU (as Erik is less of a git - not that I don't love Laurie). Or maybe Erik is the new attendant/consultant who has just recently joined. Either way he is a wild card, Charles is an established brilliance. They're rivals and the students are poor, ruthlessly abused interns.

I love it! I especially love the idea of Erik verbally lambasting the paramedics. I don't have any constructive feedback, but... I am curious as to why Erik almost had a little freak-out because of Charles (who is short, hee). Also the short background given on Charles and his team is very intriguing, and I liked Emma's voice.

I'm really relieved, I wasn't sure if that was too much talking for Erik. Felt it might have been more realistic if he just got into the lift and ignored him. But I figure you have to learn to talk more as a doctor than you do as a Nazi hunter.

Oh, glad you noticed! I've made sure his childhood is as angsty as the original. And Shaw's lurking around too. Thanks so much for the feedback.

Oh I'm glad I've got a medical reader! I'm ruthlessly abusing every patient my mum ever complained about. I'm sticking with House on the count that no one ever gets Lupus but look out for POTS (lol, I actually solved this one once, and I had a busted ligament at the time - it was too perfect) and Liddle's syndrome which might turn up in subsequent episodes.

love this. from the descriptions of the pitifully tired students, to the inner monologue of emma's head (can't say i'm always a fan of her, yet i love her in this) i'm very much intrigued and would love to see more. also, erik works far too well as a know-it-all jackass doctor.
