Go for the movie plot with daemons, or something else completely different with daemons. I just want to see these guys with daemons. Like many others I'm partial to Erik/Charles, but gen is just fine, or throw in whatever takes your fancy.

OP: Oh god! This is... this is wonderful. I adore that you've gone the post-beach route and ah, everything is just so heartbreaking. And your choices of daemons, YOUR CHOICES!!! I love them and I love this and please, please, please have the next part/s up soon.

hahaha I can't count.Charles smiles and rolls through the school and it’s a little like nothing’s happened. Like he’s forgotten (how could that even happen?). Like he’s been in that chair his whole life instead of months of recovery, of physical therapy and phantom pain from feet that flinched from rocks. And that’s okay, maybe, because they all need to pretend a little, forget that there was a wolf who stalked through the halls, scarred and hurting and lovely. Who rattled the door knobs and stole the cutlery and made it safe until she made it dangerous ( ... )

He heaves himself up, around, shoulder and elbow throbbing from the brunt of meeting the floor, arms shaking with effort, and he’s slick with sweat by the time he’s taken the equivalent of an about-face, a step, half of another. Crawling on his belly like a bug, powerless and helpless and weak, and he hates thinking about himself that way because he’s not. This how the world works. This is evolution and mutation and adaption. This is putting his mind to the test and surviving because it’s that or die. But he claws at the carpet, fingers and elbows digging into the thick woven fibers, hauling along his useless legs and gaining an inch, maybe two, and panting with the effort and he sees a crumpled half-a-body. Half a man. Half - - something. Broken. Wholly incompetent ( ... )

OP: This is just so heartbreakingly beautiful.

You should be here to help me. I think at that one single line you broke me.

Looking forward to more.
