[Gen] Alex Summers / Scott Summers

So. Alex has all of these issues that the movie glosses over yes? Clearly some of those issues are about him family- what with the dead parents and all...
But back to the brother issues- I want Alex either thinking Scott is dead or being super concerned about the fact that he has no idea where his brother is / what happened to him. I do not care if this is compliant with any other X-Men films (actually I'm sort of assuming it won't be because I cannot for the life of me figure out how this mess could be resolved).
All I am asking for is some Alex emo, some brother love, and an answer to my burning question of "Where the fuck is Scott right now?" (I also don't care if you actually answer the question if you just make Alex CARE, and if you do I don't care how you do it. Seriously. Hookers and blow? okay. Is a hooker? sure. Dead? why ever not. With Logan at that bar? cool. ect.)
long prompt is long-winded but says little. Sorry.

YESSSSSS. I've been desperately craving fic that incorporates some of the other X-Men, brings them into the X-Men: First Class timeline (utterly disregarding the rest of the X-Men movie franchise's and comics's timelines, because how else could you do it, they seem like they have to be alternate universes already, to me 8|a), especially Scott (and Ororo), so this prompt is utterly perfect in my eyes. ♥_♥

Thank you very much! I don't write a lot, but I saw the prompt and it practically wrote itself. I'm glad my mental ramblings are coherent in fic-form! :) I totally agree about reunion!fic... WE NEED MORE ALEX AND SCOTT!!!
This is EXACTLY what I wanted from Alex in the movie!!! Just. Yes. So much yes. This is wonderful.
Though I still am left in my black hole of irrational worry over a fictional character- but so is Alex so fair is fair. :D
As to your hookers and blow- presumably they're with Scott. Though if Scott is one of the hookers I would back off quick- Alex might go all big brother smash on you (PS switching their birth order is one of the best solutions I've seen for that little conundrum.)
(Oh god why can't I ever just shut up... lolololol)
I am so glad you enjoyed this! I read your prompt and COULD NOT LEAVE IT HANGING. Seriously... awesome prompt!
Small confession... Scott was my favorite X-man back in the day when I was watching the cartoons and reading the comics. I was disappointed with how he'd been portrayed in the films; kind of pushed to the periphery and forgotten. I was so happy that Alex was in the prequel!!! (Alex won't forget you Scott!!!)
Making Alex the older brother was the only way I could straighten some of the timeline craziness... but I like the AU places my imagination takes me for Movie!OlderBrother!Alex (think about what his reaction to Corsair would be like!!!)
Thanks again for a great prompt! If you'd like some hookers/blow I'm at the bar with Scott and Logan! XD
Fic: Five Ways Alex Didn't Find Scott (And the Time He Did) 1/6jemisardJune 13 2011, 08:19:37 UTC
Charles had told him that he probably didn’t want to come along. Hank had suggested in his own quiet way that Alex might want to stay home because Hank was coming along for a reason. Erik had taken him aside and told him that he had to accept whatever he saw and experienced as not being his fault

Alex had found control, briefly.
Alex had lost it again, because somewhere out there, his brother was waiting, alone, and Alex couldn’t find him.
Breaking into Hank’s lab, Alex had poured over all the data, trying to see if there was any Scott, any thing that might suggest a power like his, because they were brothers and that was how it worked, right? They were brothers, so if he was a mutant, Scott was a mutant and out of control.
Except probably not. Scott was always in control. Even as an eight year old, he’d been too serious about some things. About doing things right for Alex

Alex saw him standing there and for a moment, he was five years old again and it was the fateful week that Scott came back from his school camp.
He didn’t think, didn’t have time to check his impulses-he never checked his impulses-he just flew, honest to God felt like he flew as he bolted across the entryway with a scream of his brother’s name, barrelling into him and grabbing him tightly

Alex dove out of the way as a ball of bubbling acid splattered the pavement where he had stood. “Banshee! Get her out of the goddamn air and off my ass

Alex's feelings were very powerful and the way you worked up to the end was amazing.
This totally needs a follow up with a happy reunion.
