The events of Thor happen during the 60s. After letting go of the Spear Loki lands right in Charles' proverbial lap. He's right up Charles' alley - powerful, brilliant and damaged. Erik is intensely jealous of the newcomer because Charles' attention divided between the two of them and he wants him for only for himself. Loki trolls everyone because he can and because it's in his nature. In the end they solve the problem with a threesome.
