Let's get some old-fashioned h/c up in here. I want Erik collected and patient but just the tiniest bit worried as he cares for a dreadfully sick Charles. (Bonus points for delirious, half-conscious love confessions.)

“I - I don’t think that,” says Hank, trying discreetly to tug himself free. Beside Raven Erik rolls his eyes. Hank is an appallingly bad liar.

“What are you doing?” Charles demands of Erik as the other man pulls him down the bed. “I was trying -”
“For God’s sake, try to control yourself. You’re scaring them,” says Erik in a low growl.

Oh, this is wonderful! Loving that you can focus on multiple characters with depth and perception; Raven's jealousy and affection, Erik's blend of frustration-admiration (the parallel between Shaw and Charles chilled me, so you know), even details like Hank's insecurity (though before that "I'm ignoring you cos I'm an idiot, not cos you should be ignored" made me giggle). Excellent, detailed story, really looking forward to more <3

“I thought I’d give Raven a break,” says Hank, gathering his things, getting ready to stand.
Erik gestures with a hand that he should sit. He wishes he knew what makes Hank so nervous around him. The way he flaps about it’s hard not to snap at him and he suspects that only makes the whole thing worse. “Has she given you the “positive thoughts only” talk
