Ah, a request for our regular patrons in the library?

If your daemon is of the avian kind, or the... mm, worm-eating kind, may I request to please inform me or any of the library staff in advance if you wish to proceed to the library? Thank you very much.

... I did not expect him to be this small.Miss Raven, Luke, Ianto, please do forgive me for ( Read more... )

Worms? One shouldn't eat worms, I'm sure they wouldn't taste nice. Is your daemon a worm? I won't eat it. I don't expect we're very close to each other anyw--

--I'm sorry, he's been getting into a bit of trouble this morning. Please don't mind him.

Nothing to worry about, Miss Evey. There are certainly inquisitive...

Indeed! I'd imagine I'd taste quite disgusting to the palate. I cannot fathom what the birds taste that they made my kind their staple diet.

Ah, how do you do? I am William Lucas Abernathy the Third, a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

... Good grief.

Inquisitive seems like it's putting it lightly. I don't really mind, but--

I don't understand birds, either. I used to like being a robin, before I settled into this form, but I'd much rather eat berries and peanut butter.

I'm Photios! It's nice to meet you, too. You're the first I've met that's smaller than me.

--I'm starting to forget what it's like to have an uninterrupted conversation, and it's only ten in the morning.

A robin? Ah, quite a maginificently-coloured creature! A bird, yes, but even I cannot deny its beauty. But I assure you, Photios, that your form is quite charming as well!

Indeed! Then I must be the smallest there is today! Unless there be a bug or some manner of creature much smaller than I am to show...

... I find that if I let him ramble on, I'd get used to it somehow.

*a tut-tutting from the worm* You should get out more, old boy! Much as I agree with you on the matter of books, there is more to life than stacking and keeping track of them, isn't it?

How perfectly charming. And might I inquire after your name?

[ ... here, have the sound of a worm gulping xD ]

William Lucas Abernathy the Third, at your service. And the quite feral feline is...?

[A shocked pause...]

I do beg your pardon? I will thank you to know that I am anything but feral, perhaps appearances to the contrary, but the blame for that falls solely on my other half.

The Lady Artemisia Belladonna, if you must know.

Ah, you must forgive me then, Milady Belladonna. It is not everyday, indeed, that I meet a feline of the species. Except in books, but of course that is a different matter altogether.

Today is full of surprises. Why, just a moment ago I befriended an osprey, something that I did not entirely expect.

Mm, there is certainly something cat-like about Lord Cain. But it is certain, too, that you are a perfect manifestation of his soul. Sleek and elegant, as it were.

[ooc: :3 Welcome back from the con~ Piiiictures? xD]

I am honored by your assessment of me, milady Delirium. But it would be prudent of me to say that I am not a female of this species, but a male.

But I daresay that the word "cute" could also be identified with males, is it not?

I believe I was meant to be an owl, one time. But I distinctly remember Lucien here being one already, albeit stuffed...

...

Where is your animal manifestation, Corinthian?

I don't have one.

Mm, I see. Of course, forgive me. That was quite tactless of me to ask.

... I thought I would see your purple elephant around again. Lumpy was quite cute, you know.

Don't worry about it. Things are going pretty smoothly. I'm trying to get a better search interface and input more listings, it seems to be going well so far.

And I'm not cursed today.

Also I haven't seen Raven around. Have you?

I have complete faith in your technological abilities, Luke. Goodness knows I fumble with those things...

... you don't give yourself much credit, old boy. At least you know how to operate a stove?

... uh, perhaps...

Not cursed, Luke? Ah, a shame. I would have loved to see what your daemon looked like. It must be quite magnificent

I agree with him on that point.

But of course you do!

Mm, come to think of it, I have not seen her around lately...

knightbalanced May 27 2008, 01:01:39 UTC
It's not so hard. It just takes some time to get used to new things, I guess. But you're busy enough already, I imagine.

I kind of wish I was cursed, too. What's your name?

Huh... I'll check around.

This one buries himself too much in his books, I'm afraid.

William Lucas Abernathy the Third. An honor to meet you in person, Luke Skywalker. Indeed, a great honor!

Ah, if you're not busy, that is. I am sure Miss Raven would tell us or her friends if something is up, so to say. And I've seen that your sister and friends from your world have shown up as well.
