Chapter 23

Oct 25, 2007 16:11

[ Filtered to the wrongly accused | attacked | unaffected | members of the Resistance | Unhackable ]

This has gone far beyond enough, I gather. The library is open to those who wish to hide from the inquisitors.

Ptolemy, Miss Willow, where are you?

It is unfortunate that Miss Belloc seems to have succumbed to this curse...

plz not to be burning the books, unaffected, library is open to hide in, witch trials

That's commendable of you, Lucien.

My Lord.

Forgive me for not consulting you earlier, as I thought that this particular curse would have expired after a day, or so.

This is stretching out farther than the rest.

I have heard that Miss Rose Walker has made her way here as well. Is she well?

There's no worry, Lucien. You may open the library to those who need it.

She has good company. My brother is quite fond of her, and she has also reacquainted herself with the Corinthian.

Very good, my Lord.

Very much so. It must be because they have the same colouring of hair... I look forward to meeting her again as well.

Ah yes, they did not exactly have a good history together.

Corinthian.

Where have you been? You haven't caught yourself in the madness outside, have you?

No. Something tells me this face screams more than plain old fucking witch.

Indeed. The stuff of their worst nightmares, as it were.

And I doubt that they could even touch you, anyway.

How do you fare?

We'll make note that the library is another safe house. How well is it protected?

I shall be warding it from outside interference. I believe the inquisitors and accusers have made themselves known over the network. I shall keep an eye on them.

Please send those you can here. I am Lucien.

We suspect there might be spies, so be careful.

Thanks, we'll inform people that it can be considered a safe refuge. I'm Envy, if you need help contact me.

I see. Thank you, I will.

Envy, then. I wish that you stay safe in all this turmoil. I shall contact you when needed.

Are you sure that is a wise course of action?

If you are safe where you are, I entreat you to stay there. If not, then I will not stop you from going here. I have set up wards around the building to deter the inquisitors from entering. Your friends are also welcome to stay here if they would like.

...I will not allow my life to be dictated by the ravings of overly enthusiastic fools.

I have been safe in our flat so far...but there is work to be done at the library.

That they are. But they are extremely dangerous. In their fervor they might not listen to any reason we might present.

... but if I cannot stop you then I insist that you stay in the library until all of this blows over. You will be safe here. Your friends will be too.

[ooc: you've triggered the extremely worried librarian mode! xP]
