I ran across a recent entry on myspace with the title "gay." This really interested me, I clicked on it and it asked a question...

Gay marriage?

Simple and quaint, yet a topic of debate.
Here was my response, i would like to see what you all have to say.

47. Skyler - I'm not for gay marriages really. Honestly, you people say "it fucking makes me sick that you fuckers are fucking faggots and are against gay marriages because you're fucking closed minded." I'm not closed minded at all. If you wish to call me that, you're not intelligent, how does that work for you? My reasons:
Number One: Marriage, is a religious cerimony that is strictly between a man and a woman. We're going to change it just because some people can't keep clean speech and say it violates civil rights? I'm personally aggravated that the pledge of allegiance was banned in nearly half the US because of the word God, but i'm not making a fuss and throwing ad-hominem remarks all over the place, am i?
Number Two: Honestly people, when has love been about paperwork or title? This is a follow up on the above. If you really loved someone, you wouldn't need a prenuptual agreement, a certificate of marriage, or the title husbands or wives. What it is, is a power issue. The sad part is, most of the gay people i know, don't care, it's the straight ones who think that they're being a zealot doing some favor. I don't believe anyone who NEEDS marriage is truly in love.
Furthermore, why don't you straight people stop trying to be vigilantes, getting high off of "helping a cause." I would guess most of you are from California or New York. All you people are doing is creating more frustration with the matter being fought for. If you're going to anyway, at least make an intelligent arguement, and try not to use so many profane remarks. It honestly makes you sound like 7-year-olds. Maybe you'll have an ear turned your way then...
