Ergh. I hate the holiday season, because when my parents aren't planning on being in the same city I have to plan on disappointing one of them. I usually choose to be with my mom because I like her more and I care more about her feelings. That's hard. Maybe you could surprise her that weekend before with a small early Thanksgiving? You and Brendan could do all the cooking and have a nice, quite Thanksgiving with her. Remember that November 27th is just a date. What really matters is enjoying each other's company - no matter the date.

I actually suggested that, but she was trying to hang up with me kind of quickly and she was all like, "No, I don't want to do that and make Richard and Shane do that. It's not the same. We won't have off school. And it's not Thanksgiving. But it'll be nice to see you..."
