Trying not to officially become my mother

Ahhhh-----summer.  It has been a warm one so far, I'll tell ya!!!  I like it though-----all the pool and boat options that are available and the yummy summer food fixins.  Yes, I am a food crazed person-----what can I say.  BBQ, taco dip (and I make a yummy one!), fresh fruit, and popsicles (if you don't like popsicles--I just don't trust ya----I ( Read more... )

The wonderful feelings you have for many of your former students, your pride in realizing their accomplishments and the love they extend to you over the years, are all warm-fuzzies of "motherhood."

The following is a message I received from a friend, and, after taking some literary license, I sent it on to my daughter, Joan.

Dear Joan,

A friend sent this heartwarming message to me and it brought a tear to my eye. I know you will be able to identify with this story---- so much of it rings true---- now that you are also a mother. Love, MOM

Wow----Mom!! That was an awesome little story. Once again----you made me tear up!! That was great insight into how the entire perspective of life changes when you have children!!
