Whew!! Little emotional baggage in that last entry, eh? Don't worry----I unpacked.

Anyway, had an eventful weekend. I did go to the 11AM Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at IMAX. It was phenomenal----go see it----and if you can, see at IMAX. The visuals are much more fun that way. That night I went to see Duran Duran----also amazing. Simon ( Read more... )

Your comment is awesome. Yes, there are some amazing men out there and beautiful couples and families. You are lucky to have those wonderful examples in your life to remind you what true partnership is about. Good for you and thanks for reminding us of this!

Oh, also....

I don't think guys look at it as women being cumbersome and weighty. Not at all. Well, some do, I guess.

I LOVE that sort of attention, though. To me, what's the point of being in a relationship if you focus so much attention on being apart?

If I don't want to be around a woman, then I shouldn't be in a relationship with her. Period.

When I do want to be in a relationship with her, I want to be around her as much as possible. Of course, for that to happen you have to be best friends in addition to being in love.

That's the key. ;) If that's the case then you always have the best case scenario - you get to hang out with your best friend AND lover all the time. :)
