Niece #1 recently finished eighth grade. Our gift to her was a silver star pendant on a black leather thong. Nice looking, age appropriate, something she could wear for everyday, right?

My sister (her aunt/godmother) and her husband gave her a diamond Chanel logo pendant.

Our Obama swag arrived today, all neatly packed, clearly by hand by someone who cared about what she/he was doing, in one of those triangular boxes used for shipping long skinny things.
