after talking to people recently about peteys death i realize that ignorance is still bliss. if petey was a chihuahua or a rat terrier or even a large mutt he would not have been shot it was because he was a pitbull mix. I find that racsim not only reflects humans but also our animals. ITS SICK

I dont think the gunman's race is what people consider to blame...however in petey's case, his breed was. and its awful.

i think people are ignorant for even making the gunmans race an issue, however, i dont think any kind of social rejections he might have faced excuse or even justify what he did. So many people receive bad treatment on account of their race or even gender sometimes, but you dont shoot 32 people who technically had nothing to do with it. People reached out to him (as far as were informed), i think it was inevitable.

As for Petey, someone needs to do something about the law that gives the right to kill an animal despite provokation. Thats not fair. I still think your friend should pursue the fence issue.

I agree with everything you said. the only reason i bring up the gunmans race is because everytime i've turned on the news since i've seen people dicussing how he was asian and blah blah blah. I don't think its right to focus on that when what we should be focusing on is why america's children are lashing out in such violent ways.
