achieve - это когда есть четкая граница ДА-НЕТ, достиг ты или нет.
gain - такой границы не имеет.
reach - тоже имеет границу, но эту границу можно описать цифрами.
в отношении цифр achieve и gain - подобны слову BIG
reach - подобно слову LARGE
