Warning: Sexual imagery under the cut

Screening

Before coming to Earth, Heero thought of a ”sunscreen” as something made of an absorbent compound which trapped all dangerous solar rays and kept them from damaging the colonies’ green areas, where the hull usually was see-through. Unlike the genetically modified or, more often than not artificial, grass of the living areas, the plants in the “greenhouses” of residential colonies required proper sunlight. Many Earthlings coming to the colonies wondered why the observation domes were filled with plants. They were usually properly shocked when informed that no, these were gardens. The observation domes were actually small bulges on the hull itself, no less secure then the colony proper - it just seemed ten times as risky.

The hull of the colonies kept dangerous solar rays from the colony proper, and the artificial sunlight inside was designed to not be harmful. While Heero quite enjoyed helping Relena spread sunscreen all over her body to keep from burning on Earth, not to mention her helping him do the same, he found that maybe having a big metal sheet between them and the sun wasn’t such a bad idea.

For one thing, as well as shield them from the sun, it would shield them from the paparazzi.

The image which made it into the gossip magazines showed Relena in a bikini on a beach bed on the patio next to the swimming pool in Dorothy’s country manse, where she and Heero had been guests. (Well, Relena had been, anyway. Heero just tagged along and practiced his diplomatic skills on the hostess - he figured that if he could be civil with Dorothy, he could be civil with anyone. Relena had rolled her eyes and told him to get over it - Dorothy was one of her friends, and if he was going to be part of her life, he’d have to accept the other people who were part of it as well. Heero had muttered that couldn’t it please not extend to long-haired blonds, at which point Relena had looked very disappointed and he’d spent an hour “apologising”.)

In reality, Heero had been checking Relena’s ankle after she thought she might have twisted it. In the photograph, it looked like he had his face buried in her crotch. While this was a position he was actually quite familiar with, not to mention enjoyed immensely, it wasn’t something he appreciated people thinking the two of them did in public.

Relena, for some obscure reason, took the whole thing rather calmly.

“Anyone can see it’s you,” she pointed out. “If people think I like to enjoy my husband, who am I to stop them? They know we’ve only been married for two months, it’s natural that we should be affectionate.”

“But they’re making it look like we’re affectionate in public,” Heero protested. “I don’t mind touching you among people, but this is a bit much.”

“Did you even read the image title?” Relena asked. “It says, ‘When the Hostess is Away, the Vice Foreign Minister Plays’. They know we were alone, and they took care to mention it - probably in some vain attempt to keep Dorothy from suing them for slander. If people thought she was some sort of voyeur, it would be bad for her business. So now she’s suing them for violating the privacy of her home instead.”

Maybe Dorothy wasn’t so bad, Heero thought.

“Anyway,” Relena...purred? Yes, that was definitely a purr. “This photo has reminded me of something.”

Heero let his lips twitch faintly upwards before he schooled his features in the appropriate quizzical frown. “Oh?”

Relena nodded, untied her bathrobe and let it fall to the ground. “You haven’t been giving me attention like that since you first saw the dratted picture. Rectify this situation, please.”

‘Dratted.” Heh. She was very well socialised, his Relena. Heero picked his now naked wife up and walked towards the bed.

“Mission accepted.”
