You know, when I wasn't IN the GDF, you guys seemed to basically always be on top of everything, no matter where you went. But now that I'm here, everything's constantly on the brink of falling apart.

Did things take a turn for the worse, or is it just a case of perspective?

It certainly seems that way, doesn't it?

No doubt we'll suddenly turn the tables on everyone at the last second, right?

I'm not sure. But I know things like this have happened from time to time and it certainly did seem like the EDF and later GDF were always on the ball when I was just a civilian.

Of course that changed when I ended up joining.

You know, for such an elite military group, the GDF seems to have a lot of people who were civilians before joining.

I imagine it's been like this from day one. A-LAWS certainly isn't as all-powerful as they sometimes seem.

I wasn't even sure these guys ever lost individual battles before we joined.

That's because you need to check the news more.

Hahaha, you think so?

I think it's perspective really. There are things that do happen behind the scenes that even anime doesn't detail.

Wait, what does anime have to do with this?

Well, it's like a side of the story you don't get to see because you're not actually there. All the things that happen off screen.

Not that the GDF hasn't had it's ups and downs, but I imagine it's mostly perspective.

Must be pretty nice to have that kind of rep, though.

If the GDF seems particularly successful, it's mainly because it has several dozen distinct enemies at any given time. In case you hadn't noticed, we fight almost constantly, rather than engaging in selective campaigns.

Makes you wonder why everyone hates you guys so much.

Well, you know what they say - true heroes are these who face overwhelming odds and still manage to win!

Damn right they do! What do you think I'm doing here instead of in the A-LAWS?

I thought you joined us because Colonel Kati did? Not that it's a bad reason!
