Tropical Storm Zeta formed Friday in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, another installment in a record-breaking hurricane season that officially ended last month.

The article said it was not immediately known whether a storm had ever formed as late as Zeta, but I just read that Tropical Storm Alice formed on December 30, 1954. But still...wow.
